    120 Prices

Yes, the one at the start of this thread is a 120. The OP was looking for advice on that initially. However the one we're more recently discussing is linked in the middle of the thread and is definitely a 150.

    120 Prices

Yes, that is an early 150 - looks good in the pics. Do the 150s also suffer from the same tin worm problems as the 90 and 120? Obviously will be newer, so any effects may be lesser simply due to the fact that corrosion has has less time to take hold. I'd like to think that Mr Toyota took some...

    Hello from new owner.

My 90 left for pastures new last May - would have been 20 years now. I knew I would miss the truck and I wasn't wrong - so now thinking about a 120. :icon-rolleyes: Just need to make the man maths work!

Sometimes You've Just Got to Tip Your Hat to Those Boffins Back at the Lab

Blimey, those JDM models are good - the spare wheel carrier label even gives you life advice! "3. When I put my career back on track..." They think of everything they do, the Japanese! :icon-cool:

    Odd MOT argument today

Sounds like a case of "the lights are on but nobody's home" Glad you got it sorted :-)

    Odd MOT argument today

The 90 series doesn't have a dipped beam "on" indicator either - only for the main/full beam. It does have a lights-on indicator in the form of a buzzer iirc which would work with the parking lights upwards - buzzer goes off if you remove the key and open the door with lights still on (close...

    EV's -Tesla

I know as members on a Landcruiser forum, we may have a slightly different mentality but most new cars, whether they're ICE, EV or Hybrid, are just another form of White goods really. "Build quality" is a relative term and meaningless to most consumers. As long as the touchy-feely bits are nice...

100 wont start - possible immobiliser issue? - FIXED

Do you need to lubricate the internals of the lock and lever mechanism- not just the "keyhole" bit? - probably need to do this from the inside, so might require removal of the door card. However, if it works fine using the remote fob...?

    BF Goodrich or Cooper

There used to be a significant premium for the BFGs in the past -as much as 20%, compared with Cooper/ General/ Toyo/ Yokohama/ Falken and the likes. If that's still the case, then I would go for the Coopers - better VFM IMHO. If not, then individual specs would come into play. Not sure...

    auto transmission oil change

Every 3rd oil change was what Toyota suggested for the 90 series petrol - so every 27k miles. (That was for the 5Z-FE V6 petrol on 9k mile oil changes)

    Jokes

You ain't seen nothing yet! ;) It's a sad fact that most bald people still own a comb. They just can't part with them. I'm reading a book called "The History of Lubricants" - it's non-friction. I'm also reading a book called "The story of Glue" - I can't put it down. A male patient is...

    A bit of eco-back pedalling.........?

The 2030 end date was for "100%" petrol or diesel cars - Hybrid cars always had an end date of 2035 from the start. Considering that nearly half of new cars available sold in the UK are hybrid (i.e. have some form of petrol/diesel ICE with additional battery power - whether that's self...
