The reason i did this is because by working from the back and then the front i reckoned the measuring was going to be easier, because there was so much metal missing in the middle. also i reckoned it would be easier to seal up that way, but regardless...

I didnt realise how hard it would be to fabricate these patches, not because theyre particularly complicated, but as you can see from the photos, theres massive amounts of metal missing and i basically had to imagine how everything went and manufacture patches...

    Have a lot to catch up on update wise!! So i Cleaned and painted the fuel tank holder, gearbox bracket and other bits. I mounted the gearbox back onto the chassis but tbh the chassis looks like crap against it!!

Your after learning a LOT about a skill you didn' have before and you know what, a few more practice runs (parden the pun) you'll be painting your cars perfectly. You have to make mistakes to learn new skills...
