Does any one have experience with the Mr Funnel filter? I've got a standard fuel filter for a UK spec 80 and have only just been looking into upper the filtering after hearing a couple of horror stories. It hadn't occurred to me to look into pre-filtering at the pump with regards to my trip.

That's what I was thinking. Have decided to go for the Silva 70UN, attachable but removable for storage & use away from the vehicle.

Have been trying to find a good non-digital compass to mount on my dash but only seem to be able to find super cheap plastic ones that I can't quite bring myself to any faith in or relatively expensive marine ones (£60+). Does anyone have any recommendations of where to look?

Had a bit of a disaster on the cruiser yesterday. Whilst trying to fit the new electric aerial inside the passenger-side wing I managed to knock two of the wires for the starter motor out of their sockets (stupid that something so vital was so easy to dislodge!). The wirings been reconnected...
