I've just had a lot of restoration work done to my LJ71, I don't know if you are aware but there are a lot of repair panels available from Germany, I bought a set of new front wings repair panel and rear panels, the front panels look like the ones for your truck, I had to butcher for mine.

Yes I'm having a pop up roof fitted, the colours I'm going for is an old Toyota green, cream wheels, cream roof and grill. He's old school this guy, the repairs have been filled with lead, not filler.

Bodywork now repaired, side repeaters blanked off, now in 1st coat of primer.
