    1hz 70 pickup

I bought one exactly like that (same year) a few years ago and made a camper out of it. https://images.app.goo.gl/7NT3tAKEGcHZk7BK9 Iwan is quite right about the cab. Bit cramped and the seat hardly reclines at all so it's a pretty upright position. I dont think £17.5k plus VAT is a good deal...

For sale: HZJ75 Land Cruiser, fully expedition prepared...

Hi. Sorry no, I don't have the tray back for it. The original tray had been replaced with a not very attractive flat bed, which I got rid of. Will let you know about the RTT if it doesn't all sell as a package. Cheers, John

My Toyota HZJ75 overland truck is now for sale...

Thanks guys. Yes, we have a blog with lots of photos and text on there - www.nystrom-adventures.com I'd love to keep the car, but we have no imminent use for it and it deserves better than standing around in the UK!

    HZJ75 Overland Build

Hi Scott. Yes, that was me! You didn't take long to clock it. It had literally only been back in the country for about an hour - just rolled out of a container in Tilbury and I was on my way home in it. Alas, I have just posted it on ebay for sale... (I'll put a link on the ebay addicts page).

    HZJ79 or HZJ75

Hi Bat. Just saw your thread. Glad that you were inspired by mine! I will, reluctantly, have to sell mine when I get back to the UK early next year. It's just about spot on now, so not really a project, but if you're looking for a go anywhere 75 series, I'm sure you won't find better in the UK...

    HZJ75 Overland Build

Hi. Just to let you know we are 6,000kms into our trip in Africa, and, apart from a broken suspension shackle, have had no problems. I thought you'd like this picture - we had to rescue a 6 month old Land Rover from Moremi Game Reserve, and tow it 50km back to the main road. It had a broken oil...

    HZJ75 Overland Build

Ben, I also found these ones... http://www.roadrunneroffroad.com.au/Toyota-Land-Cruiser-70-Extended-Greasable-anti-Inversion-Shackles---SK348EXT.html Do you recommend the snake racing ones in particular? Not sure if either post to the UK, but will try to find out today

    HZJ75 Overland Build

Thanks Ben - genius solution! I like the look of that. I was dubious about the coil springs myself. One probably stupid question about the extended shackels - do you just need one shackle per rear wheel - ie one pair will do both rear wheels? I had at first assumed you replace both leaf mounts...

    HZJ75 Overland Build

Hi guys. The truck is now safely sealed in a container on its way to Namibia. But driving it to the docks fully loaded (full water and fuel tanks etc etc) I did notice that the rear end is sagging a fair bit. I'm wondering about a cheap fix to raise it a bit when I get to Namibia. Air bags would...

    HZJ75 Overland Build

Thanks for the likes guys. Shayne, nice idea, but no we have funded every penny of it ourselves. The reason we (probably) have to sell it when we get back is that we had to sell both our cars and invest quite a bit in savings to pay for it! The charities we support are micro charities with no...
