    My 50th for sale

The 100 has gone, a couple of the kids have moaned at me already, but I think it's the right thing to do. I'm sure that the new owner (Steve), will introduce himself at some point. Guess I won't be posting for a while - maybe until I get a hankering for a 200?? The last few years, being a...

    Rust on the 100

I think the thing that gets overlooked is that these are fairly old cars now - the first of the 100's will be 19 years old - not too far off being a classic.

Wanting to have a land cruiser for overlanding

I've got a friend with his own LPG tank near Stamford and he has a couple of works vans and a Saab 9000 on gas, without any issues. He reckons that the technology now is much more reliable than in the past. I thought about it when I had a 4.7, maybe back then it wasn't the best time to do it.

Wanting to have a land cruiser for overlanding

That answers that then :-)) One other question (hope it's not hijacking the thread), but has anyone done big miles with LPG?

Wanting to have a land cruiser for overlanding

US trucks will be petrol most likely, no real bad thing, they're cheaper to buy but I have my reservations about reliability at the high mileage end of the scale. I've had the petrol and the diesel. The petrol is a really refined motor, very smooth, bags of power and sounds great! The diesel...

Which year / version if you had the choice ?

There were a number of consumer pieces in the media and a documentary type piece (might have been watchdog). They filmed the arrival of the police along with a representative from Japanese insurance companies. It was a scam on an industrial scale, where cars were pinched in Japan, taken to...

I take it that the stolen 100's coming in from Japan via the emirates are now no longer a problem due to age and value?

    Dead battery or alternator?

If you keep your batteries in good order and replace well before they die, your alternator will last longer. I'm told that you should replace both batteries at the same time.

... the imports throw a whole new set of spanner into the toolbox... At least it did for me... That's sounds intriguing.

    electrics

For anyone reading this with a similar problem - it's worth making sure that you get all of the fuse locations. There's the big box on the n/s under the bonnet There's another small box between the box above and the inner wing - could be over looked There's the fusible links on the offside...

    Updating Navigation Software??

I asked this question a few years ago and nobody really had an answer - maybe something's changed? From what I can see there are 3 different satnav - infotainment systems on the hundred series: System that seems to be for other markets 50th Ann combined satnav / climate / sound etc Face lifted...

Which year / version if you had the choice ?

Just a thought - but I'm assuming that although the infotainment on the pic above looks a little different, the electronics and config at the back are the same as on the 50th?? Is there anyway to hook up a reverse camera and even DVD sys?

Which year / version if you had the choice ?

Could corrosion relate to how well the truck has been looked after? Both my 100's were very clean underneath, but never off-roaded as far as I know and the only corrosion found during the repaint was a small amount toward the back of the sills - not rotten, just pitting and the same around the...

You can colour all of these parts. A mate did his '92 Bentley recently (it was green hide) and he did the day, door cards, seats etc all in wild berry.
