My roof rack used to have 2 tool boxes on top which meant there wasn’t room for a roof tent so I had the rack moved forward and hung the tent off the back a bit. This effectively gave me more rack space without sacrificing anything.

I use a kings roof top tent and it is about 60kgs. For the height I recommend 3 people to lift it safely. As far as the rack. If you have specific needs have you thought about building one? If you’re handy with a welder the clamping brackets would be the only really difficult part.

Thanks for the tips on box types guys. I have been trying to decide what is better between a 2nd hand unit and a rebuild. Is the 100 box still an H151? Is it a straight swap on the 1HZ? Thanks again for your info.

Thanks for your reply. I haven’t actually got details, but I’ll chase some down. The code relates to the shutter on the throttle body. Is that right? If so that shouldn’t be too difficult to diagnose. Thanks again

What’s the box like for a rebuild? I have pretty poor synchros in 1 and 2 and I can fell 3 getting a bit rough too. I’m tossing up whether to buy a second hand box or do a rebuild, but I feel like either way will be time and money.

I have never seen anyone successfully blank and egr. There always seems to be issues afterward, even if it is just the engine light on.
