Use wd40 on the catch itself and on the cable under the catch and at the same time have someone operate the catch from inside the car the cable can seize up as these are getting on a bit now and just need a bit of lubricant to loosen them up

@BobMurphy are you still looking for an auto transfer box to refurbish and sell on to other forum members should they need one?

It has the now very distinctive clunk knock jolt tune playing so it will move but slowly I'm reluctant to drive it for fear of anything else being destroyed so its sat in my brother's yard until a new diff can be found or the 2wd solution can be solved. So it seems front prop off, drop front...

Ok diff ratios and mine has R57 on it and I've found one with R17 on it. What's the difference will R17 fit on and work on my truck

Thanks higgy but just the diff is all I need and 595 is more than I'm willing to pay

I'm going out on a limb and saying it's a 4.3 ratio diff that I'm in need off someone correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks Chris yes I've just read that thread and full of great info and from memory I think mine said R57 on it which has me confused but I will confirm when I get back to the truck after lunch
