We have a rainy season, since we live in a rain forest country, that lasts from early September through mid-December. During this time it is unusual to get a rain free day and rain amounts of 4" or more a day are common. Better have 4WD and A/C to keep the window fog at bay during this time!
HelloI am a US expat living in Costa Rica now for over 20 years. I have had several older Cruisers and find them a perfect match for our road conditions here. My latest FZJ80 has a carburated 1FZ engine w/5 speed manual transmission, and is my daily driver.
When I got my Cruzer last year the OE Aisan carb had already been replaced with a cheapie Chineese knockoff carb. I was unable to source an Aisan carb so I purchased a Weber DGAS synchronous carb. It now has plenty of power although it is not completely jetted in yet.
