Car has been standing several months now!.I’m afraid of running batteries flat
Where do I start to unravel this?..pliz! Help!

I am no expect - actually far from it - but it sounds to me like you have an alarm fitted and that needs be turned off or isolated but I've no idea how you would do that.

Thanks …I’ve been advised that this could be an alarm issue that needs turned off
I don’t know how to turn it off

Imnot sure about factory immobiliser and I haven’t looked since last post…working long hours but ok from tomorrow…i will post what happens!!!!

I am back now from work!
When batteries connected the flash lights start flasshing
When I press both lock and unlock fob buttons there’s a small pause then flashing continues
Car locks and unlocks ok with both manual key and on the fob buttons
There’s a label on door window which says car is connected to international security register and…..
It won’t start no matter what I have tried! And I can’t stop the flashing
Seems there’s immobiliser still on…
Any advice plizzzz and thank you
David

Check fuse for immobiliser and earth connection. It seems that the immobiliser isn’t getting power to disarm.

Where do I find a fuse diagram?. Is immobiliser fuse same as anti theft fuse I saw somewhere?..?
David

Which is the immobiliser fuse? I see the hazard fuse but not immobiliser fuse:? Has it got another name or is it inside car?
David

Is it a RHD car with 1HD-FTE motor David?

This may be the relevant circuit David if it’s any use. I’m not yet up to speed how to read locations of fuses etc but it may help?
15A ECU-IG may be the first one to check

Do you know the key fob batteries are OK?
Does a red light show when the buttons are pressed?

stand next to the drivers door and hold both buttons lock/open down for 30 seconds .

Many thanks… I’ve done that. Fob working fine…locks and unlocks even with the continuous hazards flashing (flashing but not sounding the horn)
I’m working on disabling the alarm system… need to identify the immobiliser fuse or switch?it’s inside car I’m told!
Car is RHD

Ben …..Do I just disconnect the ECU-ig fuse or replace if obviously faulty ?
