Bit of a strange one this.

Looks a lot newer than a 64 plate or is just me.

Looks good that Tony, well done, not a bad price either. I didn't like the headlights on the 150 for ages but they've grown on me over time, hopefully won't suffer the sun damage of our 120 headlights.
Will you be rustproofing before the salt goes down or just keep the salt washed off as best you can during the winter and get down and dirty next summer?

Will put it on the ramps this weekend as access the underneath weather permitting.
Body work is immaculate and to get the invincible model was a bonus.
Think I will miss my 120 tho as it was a hobby to me easy to fix and maintain.
Unfortunately th 150 is totally different as full off electric gissmos and even the wife approves so bonus.

Looks fantastic that Tony! What engine is in it - is it still the 1KD or the 1GD?

Yes the 1kd ftv same as the 120 but insurance has gone up £400 what a rip.

Insurance likely gone up as its keyless and more expensive - seem to be many more thefts of keyless motors unfortunately...

Might be worth speaking to your insurer to see if they have any preferences and potential extra discounts for a pro anti theft system..

Will just change insurance at the end of the year.
Think it's because I have changed half way through my policy and administration fees etc.

I have wrapped my keys in silver foil paper to block the signal and it works a treat .
Stood there with my key and tried to get in the car (no entry.)

The guy I bought the 150 from had 2 120,s for both been bought and getting shipped abroad.
Better for all us with 120,s as just makes them even more rear.
Down side less parts to find I suppose..

Yep, they've got you by the short'n'curlies at that point, short term business plan mind because you've already decided to change insurers.

Regarding the export scene i suspect a lot of our older LCs still find their way to Africa, 20 years ago i was ferrying truckloads of new export LandRovers to Southampton docks and to a lesser extent Tilbury too, sitting in the dockside car parks every time were hundreds of really good used cars, all the good reliable ones (because Africans don't need junk that breaks down where your vehicle failing could prove fatal), thats where a lot of good 4Runners 80's 90's and even some 70s went to.
