Nearly ready for the paint

My 60 about to get a fresh coat of paint.

A few bits of the gutter trim have seen better days, should I leave them off? or get some replacement bits? Personally I'm tempted to leave them off but what do the club think? The grille and other plastic bits are being painted matt black so the only other silver would be around the glass?

Personally I like the silver roof strips but not that easy to find in good condition. How about painting with them off then if you decide to collect a set then install when you have all the parts?

That's exactly what the guy in the paint shop suggested. A decision that can be made at nearer the end of the job.

I may have gone over the top with the stripe but that's the stripe that was on the car when I bought it (all be it very faded and probably a cheap copy).

So it's taking a bit longer than expected but I've been told the paint is going on today... can't wait..

Really happy with the paint job, just got to get it all back together before I fly back to the UK a week today..

Good progress being made, I have to say I do like the black grille.. and the EBay snorkel looks pretty good too.
