Diesel Heater - Where to put it!

Why do you say that Karl? BTW I cant remember how you mounted yours, didn't you also go for fully external?

Diesel Heater - Where to put it!

@nick_the_fish that sounds interesting, I hadn't considered a completely external install. Do you have any pictures of your setup? @Andy that's exactly what I had in mind! I like how youve handled the exhaust. Easily accessible for when you need to make it watertight. Could I ask where you...

Diesel Heater - Where to put it!

After my first experience of camping with a diesel air heater I’ve decided that this is one mod worth making permanent! Waking up in warm air is just next level comfort but my current setup is just too bulky (consuming two wolf boxes) and apparently too noisy for those sensitive light sleeping...

    Intermittent speedometer

+1 thanks to @StarCruiser for the detailed pics and procedure. My speedo also failed and after checking the VSS and cable this was the last place to look! My track was broken in a completely different place as you can see in the picture but after adding in a bridge its back to full working order.

    Alu Cab roof tents

looking good there andy! Just a quick word of advice, I found that the catches on mine have a tendency to pop open so I used a couple of cheap carabiners to them in place. I believe the positive pressure helps the rubber seal keep the weather out, not that you'll need it with the weather we're...

Replacement battery terminal clamp - recommendations

Had a mooch in the garage over lunch and I found one of those lying around... cut and crimped on a new terminal and it all looks good now. The 12VP clamp does seem pretty solid, time will tell. Thanks folks.

Replacement battery terminal clamp - recommendations

    Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries

My Rev Power battery certainly does not like being cold for very long. Took this photo on a frosty winter morning where the overnight temp was sub zero but nothing like -10 or -20. Apologies for the glare, but the message reads "Output battery under temperature fault". The battery happily came...

Roof mounted Camping Lights - Wiring/Connection suggestions.

Late to the party but @StarCruiser did something similar by adding an Anderson socket to the upper tailgate recess. I'll see if I can find the thread but I though it was a clever way of getting power to the roof as the hole is in a relatively sheltered spot and the patch lead mesns it's not...

    ARB twin compressors - DA4985 vs CKMTA12

Looks that way, I am surprised at the price difference though. The RRP on Arbil is £413 and the cheapest CMK I could find was £358 from flatdog. Thats still £40 more expensive than the DA version I just bought from Island 4x4. And then there are the other web-stores selling the CMK for well...

    ARB twin compressors - DA4985 vs CKMTA12

I think youre right! So I looked up britpart and they are an ARB stockist. Their website shows the full range of ARB products but with their own DA references. To me that means they are the same unit. Interesting life lesson there, if you want to find the cheapest products on the market...

    ARB twin compressors - DA4985 vs CKMTA12

I couldn't find a single reference to the DA4985 on ARBs website or product catalogue.... but punch that model number into google and there are plenty of UK webstore results at comparatively bargain prices. Thought I'd ask here before buying the cheaper one and ending up with just an empty...

Evening all, so I've been searching the web for the best price on ARB dual compressor and have found two model numbers for what look like the exact same unit. The specs and items included with the kit look identical to me but the DA4985 is significantly cheaper (reference links below). Does...
