Open to offers, it's a slim market for people wanting to spend 10k plus on a toy

    1994 kzj70

Unfortunately the time has come to move this on, time and family life just makes it no longer viable. It's a 1994 KZJ70, owned by enthusiasts for 30 years, ive had it for 6, bought off a member on here who'd owned it from nearly new. The condition is very good, never been welded on the chassis...

    Project mush 80

Unfortunately the inevitable has happened, this project hasn't been touched in over a year (bodywork in need of repair). I've got other projects to try and look after like a 70 series, old merc, a van, 1 year old child..... so the 80 has sat at the garage with the bumpers and rock sliders off...

    Where to start

I did actually think about dual cab pick up conversion but it would only be a very short tray. More ideal single cab but not very practical with 3 people haha

    Where to start

Appreciate the replies chaps. Yeah it's MOTd, the chassis and running gear is all good. We had about a year sorting all that out a few years ago. We're not phased about doing the job, between me my dad and uncle we're all mechanics and must be a sucker for punishment. We did my dad's Colorado...

    Where to start

Haha I've thought about that many times but I think I'm a bit too attached to the old rust bucket and spent way too much money already to let it go to waste. Time, patience and lots of metal bending and we'll get there!

    Where to start

I have been dreading this ever since buying the 80, but with a new addition to the family (little Suzi) I'd like it to be as strong and safe as possible. So I'm going to have to tackle the bodywork. Here is some of what I've got to take on- inner and outer sills, Boot floor, rear archers, rear...

Who is doing what maintenance today?

Oil and fuel filters changed on the 70, greased props had a check round all ok. Keeping the 2000 mile oil change intervals like it's had for the past however many years, running like a Swiss watch

They are only cheap universal windscreen covers I cut to shape then double sided taped then around the seal

    Expert Opinions Wanted --Apply Within

In my opinion id probably ignore just about everyone of them advisories. The tyres you'll probably change anyway along with the springs that are 'corroded' what spring isn't at 20 year old. If the person testing is only used to seeing nearly new cars, looking under a 20 year old cruiser is...

Who is doing what maintenance today?

Replaced water pump on the 80, bit more of an involved job than I thought. Timing belt off, cam gear off then front cover off. Not Toyota's best idea. Also replaced n/s/r calliper as siezed and the pads while I was there.

Alternator bearing seized up yesterday, do you think I'll get warranty? Only 27 years old with 215 thousand on it. Did manage to strip it and free it off and now it works but how long for? Shame you can't buy the bearing, spoke to a couple of local suppliers and they couldn't help. Ordered a new...
