    Cherished plates info

they tell you it'll take a couple of weeks - the MOT and tax disc plus a V948 authorisation letter will arrive first then the new V5 will arrive in 4-6 weeks. I did it in January - the V5 arrived in 5 working days and the other docs 3 days later. You can get the plates made up on the V5 and...

Winter has arrived on the Wirral...

TBH there's no damage - the towbar might have moved 2 or 3mm but I can't be sure because I didn't know if the mounting plates were flush before! I'm not going to put in a spurious claim because that would be fraud. Everyone was OK and I'm just pleased to be able to give the score as Amazon 1-0...

we had some near Glossop. About 20 mins - then the sun went down and it froze. This slid into me.....the square imprint on his number plate is where he hit the cover on the towbar

that's why we put a cover on it - as far as possible it's enclosed. That's a bit like saying the 1HD-FTE doesn't last long if you don't change the oil. We do heavier duty cantilever ones that sit inside - a double step. We also replace the ones that other people have provided - we've got a...

nothing smart ass about that Stu - spot on. Export market is growing and we have to get them 100% right as fixing them out in the field is a problem. We just did a trial order of 10 to the Middle East for a national ambulance service, and a similar order to HK goes out this week. It's that...

Like I said at the start of the thread - we've got a mile of this stuff to cut. Orders come in without any pattern ergo no idea how to cut the tread to reduce wastage. The ally comes in 5m lengths so it's a pain to hire a van or get a haulier to take 2 or 3 lengths every time to a subbie to...

That's the thing for truing it up - but Wadkin - that's serious money. Plus we haven't got 3 phase and the installation costs are large - plus the landlord won't pay so we'd have to move units. ah well - thanks for the suggestioins - the bandsaw looks like an option if the dewalt doesn't work...

we tried the circular saw - because of the ridges on top it won't push through properly and keeps snagging. So we bought a big radial saw but even that doesn't cut neatly. We'll probably have to take it somewhere with a big mutha of a table saw. We've got about a mile of this stuff to cut up...

they get an alloy runner screwed to the side - so need to be precise so that no gap shows. eg We tried a table saw but you can't get it pushed through the blade without catching - hence we are now trying to keep the ally held in position and pass the blade through it with the radial saw. We...

Hi Has anyone got any experience with plasma cutters? We need to cut extruded aluminum - it's a profiled aluminium about 10mm high by 120mm wide. We've tried a radial arm saw with a proper aluminum blade but the cut isn't fine enough for what we want. We also tried a bench saw but that...

  34. E

    1HD-FTE EGR removal

Yes I think you can - but it still leaves you with the original choked up EGR which upsets the fuel consumption. That's the real issue - not only does it light up the EML it makes it use more fuel. Sigh.

    1HD-FTE EGR removal

Just looking at your first post and the photo - you took out the T piece, and the small hose to "EGR cut VSV". You then unbolted the solenoid marked "EGR cuct VSV", but what does "twitted it slightly" mean?

Just bumping this old thread. Did you do the delete warenpfo? Which way did you do it and what are the results? I'm interested in the method to block the vacuum pipe that runs to the EGR actuator / valve to disable the EGR if anyone has the details for how to do this. Are there any further...

they look like 120 series. I think these are the LED ones http://tinyurl.com/d79xjg7 - they look like they take an HB4 bulb as well - so the LED bit would be day running lights? Hmm - would need to see those in action These are the cheapo ones...

1997 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER AMAZON 4x4 VX DIESEL MANUAL TD

Probably not - if it didn't feel right then you did the right thing. You just have to be patient and one will come up eventually. If you are impatient you'll end up paying - but as Chris has said you need to be prepared to act when you find one that you think is reasonable. All ones you see...
