    Exhaust system for LX 450

    I have an imported 4.5 as well I went the same way in that stainless front to back. Mone has 2 cats and 2 pre cat and 2 post cat sensors. The post cat sensors are discontinued. So may have to get mine re mapped or different configuration. If I am hijacking your post it is unintensional.

    Good news Chris . My 80 has its mot on Friday last year it went through but the lambda sensors were just in. Trying to get new ones but mine has 4 2 pre and 2 post cats and the post cats are discontinued so if anyone has the post cats pm me. Just hope its the pre cats that are b*****d.

    lPG does burn valves but usually on high mileage ones I had a ford explorer that had done 190k miles that burnt the valves out and put 2 recon heads on it and the truck is still going strong. My 4.5 24 va ve is converted did it last year and has a flash lube system on it so hope it won't burn...

    Petrols are fine and quite I converted mine to gas and flash lube . It's not used much mainly towing wife's horse box and shooting trips so I went for condition low mileage 97k Kim's hardly run in.

    3k mikes annually. Petrol or Diesel?

    I'm getting around 19 mpg out of mine and on lpg I'm around 14 to 15 mpg so pence per mile very pcheap. I paid 2250 for mine on I have spent 1500 doing odds and sods but it has only done 100k Kim's so very smooth and quiet.

    New plugs distributor cap and rota. Arm fitted seems much smoother and power through the revs with no hesitation. The rpta arm and distributor cap showing signs of wear.

    Tried some leather die repair cream seat, borrowed a damaged seat from Karl to see how good as you can see works wonders so if your seats looking a bit sad this may be the solution for you.

    Gents how much grease goes in the swivel housing , topped up mine as the swivels looked dry , put one tube in each side run it for a week swivels still looked dry so put a second one in, they now look like they are getting greased just wondered if it needed any more.

    Cheers Clive will try Toyota as unless spring loaded will let it syphon out . If they are really expensive might try ordering one and set up experiment to see if works as anti syphon.

    plenty on ebay one that will do up to 6mm pipe any ideas on pipe size for head light washers as looks like big pipe. plenty of non return valves you can get aluminium ones from China £2 each if designed for fuel should be ok screen wash. Plastic ones £4 will have to get it sorted job for weekend .

    Clive is it a standard part and where did you get 2 from? As sounds like exactly what the problem is on mine as well. plus was thinking of a bonnet / stone protector saw one on ebay wonder if anyone else has got one and opinions. Typical sold.
