I looked into them as well for my ford ranger camper. I really like them and I have them on my bj46 and had them on my hzj75. But I decided to go for bfg at's because I want to do winter camping in Europe and the stmaxx doesn't have the alpine tire mark.
Apart from that, they perform not as good...
de turbo was het beste dat ik gedaan heb op de hzj75.
In plaats van een lamme koe, wordt het een aangename truck waarmee je ook in de bergen een beetje fatsoenlijk kan rijden.
Hi Ron,
Welcome to the forum.
Congratulations on your purchase. 100k is just broken in. Ideal to stop by All American Imports in Kaatsheuvel to mount a small turbo.
Also visit Rocco from Wheels Unlimited in Beesd to have a look at it, then you will immediately know what the points of concern...
Fwiw
The blower has to go before the ac works.
If the fuses are good, then check out the grounds.
If the grounds are good, you can check the fusible links.
Epc on my google drive for all toyota's.
epc europe.exe - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club]
It is an executable so no installation needed. Search on youtube how to get it working. Works with the VIN number.
Works on xp or win7. Didn't get it to work on win10 or win11.
Fantastic resource for part nrs
I have it on my gdrive

Nice one!
With a 2" lift and some decent 285 75 16 tires on 16" oem alloy rims and a hidden winch in the front bumper it'll still look stilish and civilised, but less soccer mum.
How about a 79 single or double cab and a globe camper unit?
I have such a unit on a ford ranger. It's fantastic (even on a ford) to live in. Lot of weight on the rear end.
Being a former troopy owner, I can't understand why you'd want to change from a 76 to a troopy.
One of the major drawbacks of a troopy I find is the limited acces to the vehicle. Only the rear doors at the back of the truck.
I changed from a troopy to an 80 and still love the accessability all...
I drove a v6 petrol 200 cruiser in Oman. It does its job but is not spectacular.
My 75 had a <200k kms 1hz engine and was waaaay too lazy. This changed remarkably when I fitted a BIT turbo with 0,5bar max pressure. It made it a very driveable truck.
My 80 has a 1hd-ft engine. Driving this truck...
Hi Giacomo,
Did you spray the electrical connectors with contact spray?
You might have water penetration in the loom which can give all sorts of gremlins.
if I remember correctly, there is a lock nut on the horizontal bolt. Don't forget to loosen that one when you try to adjust the horizontal one.
Don't loosen the bolts too much. The alternator just needs enough play to be movable.
The best way to get the tension right: It's a bit of gut feeling...
Did you check the fusible links?
did you check all the ground points?
If it helps, I have the wiring diagram fsm for the hzj75. Here is the link hjz75-electrische-schemas.pdf - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club]

Hi,
My best guess is that at some point, air is entering the fuel supply to the ip.
Here are some possibilities.
a leaking seal between the fuel filter and primer pump has been mentioned a few times.
A blocked sleeve/filter on the pickup line in the fuel tank.
Leaking fuel line somewhere.
A...
I've just googled '1hz injection pump' and they seem not to have the acsd and the blanking plate is already there.
Just to be sure, can you post a picture of your ip?
Now you more or less found the issue, no fuel to the ip, you can search on this forum. This subject has passed here before.
Hi lozpaul,
I had the same issue with my 80.
It was an airleak in the acsd (automatic cold start device) which is bolted to the side of the injection pump.
I replaced it with a blanking plate and an o-ring.
Hi Lozpaul,
Does the engine fire right away when you squirt some 'start pilot' in the air intake?
If it does, then you probably have a problem with the fuel supply to the ip.
Does the engine start when you keep pumping when cranking?
Does the ip have a cold start device?
Clean the inside of the...
Hi Paul,
Normally, the 1hz engine needs 1/4 turn from the starter to start.
if it needs a lot of cranking then there is something wrong.
does the battery drain because you have to crank the engine a lot to start or does the battery drain overnight because of a power loss somewhere?
does it start...

Not cheap but they know their stuff and they also sell the small hardware.

my superwinch has been used on the building site of my house a few times.
it worked hard on our latest desert trip in Tunisia. Several times a day. Golden rule in the sand : air down, if that doesn't help: air down some more!
To check if the relays are working:
locate the power pins at the underside of the board.
add 12v, you should hear a click.
Measure resistance between com-no and com-nc with and without powering the relay.
Yes they can be hotwired. I did it a few years ago and as far as I can remember I put a wire bridge in the connector and + and - 12v.
I had to replace the rear locker on my 80 too.
Had to replace the wiring on the rear axle as well. All had melted together.
Relay in ecu was burnt as well.
These...
