Replaced with a new tank from Toyota in the end. Not cheap but I did not fancy a second hand one, and no more Diesel on the drive :)

Mine is leaking, actually started last week. Parked on incline full up facing backwards and the drive was covered in diesel. Tank is rusty :( Can you buy a pattern one or would I be best to get a second hand replacement ?

Ok so just replace the single earlier panel with the later seperate ones under the lights. I may look at this if I get my paintwork tidied up.

I have also found the gliptone / liquid leather stuff to be excellent, you would probably need their scuffmaster kit. I re-furbished a leather trim for a BMW with it that had been sitting outside in a breakers yard and it came up really nicely. I have got to do the same in mine. Gliptone will...

I think there is a variation though and obviously the standard of technicians and their understanding of certain models will vary from dealer to dealer... Otherwise what you are saying is that a full and complete service history counts for nothing and that "fred in a shed" is better... which...

It has done 155k but has been into Toyota throughout it's life for everything, the history is quite amazing and it drives perfectly. It also came in considerably cheaper than some of the other poorer examples so I have some budget to spent on getting her tip top and maybe upgrading/modernising...

So does that mean the later grille fits ok without modification to the front panel ?
