Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the ECU for a 1995 KZJ78 ? I am trying to locate what wires go where. Also is there a relay for the ECU? if so where?

Am I missing something? Looking for the fuse for the ECU as it seems I am getting no power to it. ECU-B is not available ECD 15a is good. Is there another fuse?

Has anyone got a ECU pin out wiring diagram for a KZJ78 automatic? I have starting problems....it turns over and won't start and the diagnostics is not talking to the ECU. It did before so I am wondering if there is a power problem and need to check. Graeme

Now My KzJ78 1KZ-te wont start so far I have only found no diesel to the injectors. I bypassed the fuel filter (New) and used a boat primer and plenty of fuel is getting through. Has anyone had a similar problem? Looking at the manual there seems to be a load of sensers that could effect...

Thanks for the reply. When the tank is empty and I turn the ignition off, the gauge slowly rises to about 3/4 full... so when I restart lets say the next morning it takes a while for the gauge to drop back to the correct level. Graeme

Could be the ignition switch or maybe the solonoid on the motor. Check all cable conections including the battery terminals and earths. Try bypassing the ignition with a wire direct from the solonoid to the positive on the battery ( just the trigger wire). Just touching the battery should...

You definately need to bleed the whole system and make sure all the flexible hoses are good. they sometimes collapse on the inside where you cannot see and thus stop fluid flowing and returning. If they are old change them. Graeme

Well, we live and learn or hope to. The reason the overdrive was not working was because the 4wd was engaged! I did not notice, not helped by no warning light on the dash…poor excuse for a schoolboy error! Anyway, thinking I needed new solenoids and filter kit I have found these on Ebay...

If you have one or all pistons badly siezed and they wont budge with compressed air, or you don't have compressed air. A grease gun with the grease nozzle removed, normally fits when you take out the bleed nipple i.e. its the same size thread. make sure you stop the moving pistons from coming...

I have done that with no problems. I also blanked off the lower pipe that are not on your new tank. I joined the top two together and pipe them up high. I am sure they are not even required and I could of blanked them as well. Also all fitting are soft soldered not brazed, so you can use...

Would someone let me know the correct length of the auto gearbox dipstick please. There appears to be kinks at the top which have been straightened a bit. A photo would be good too if possible. I want to make sure my fluid level is spot on and it looks like the dipstick my have been messed with...

You undo at the bottom. I would replace the filter if you don't know the history. System should self prime as far as I know. Graeme

Also if the flexy hoses are old they can collapse on the inside, this has the effect of part blocking them, not letting the fluid return, so it can also make the brakes bind. When doing the overhaul that you have it is in my opinion always worth replacing all the rubber hoses. You may also have...
