Hello from just outside of Brussels.
Did you do that tour meanwhike,? Because it says that the roads are not freely accessible, it looks like an organised tour?
I see.
I understood that was the reason they stopped producing the km1.
This link says speed index Q. Seems strange that this would be lower in EU.

I think they are available now no?
The coming soon message is gone?

I was waiting for the release of the km3 to replace my km1s. I have a set of six and need to replace 4 of them. I now discovered the km3 is not produced in my (favorite) tiresize 255/85/16 ....
Any advice?
I see a couple of options:
1) I could change size and go for the km3 the question...
I am currently visiting the show.
My 80 is if you continue straight where the camp entrance is, so not take the entrance but continue
Then on your right after the carwash you take the first right.
Then just after the shower left into the forest.
At the end of the forest left. There you...
Ok if you spot a dark blue 80 with a dark coloured XL Columbus roof tent and a Belgian licencse plate, the beer will be cold.
I plan to found a spot somewhere between the carwash and the toilets (but could offcourse end up somewhere else if space available)
The swiss army spouts are the only ones that do not spill and empty a jerrycan really fast.
Have no source where to buy them at the moment they pop-up at the Bad-Kissingen show now and then.
If you find one buy it, you will not regret it.
They look like this...
The US air force have some.

I believe however it is better to learn to drive properly :-)
It also looks like a maintenance nightmare.
Actually the "show" always opens on a thursday which is a catholic regional holiday in Germany. (I believe it is the second thursday after whit sunday thats why it shifts every year, whit sunday is 50 days after easter..)
Lots of Germans arrive on wednesday afternoon on the camping and visit...
First of all because it was installed ages ago and the iron tubing is all rusty now, and at this time I do not have the time to repaint these.
Second reason is for reliability the return hose from the intercooler to the inlet lies on/after the radiator and touches the insulation of the hood...
I had a front mounted one but I removed it a couple of weeks ago. I can not compare yet, I have not driven since then. I am also changing the inner wing and am waiting for warmer weather to do some paint work.
I am also looking for a new set of tires. I am again tending to/go for bfg muds.
This mainly because in my favorite tire size for the 80 (255/85/16) I have not yet found AT's.
I have been visiting Willy's meeting for more than then years now. Willy the founder and former organiser passed away some years ago. I use it as a stopover on trips to the south. I was there from Friday and left there Sunday morning to catch a ferry in Genua towards Palermo.
We are now...
I was really shocked when I first read about it.
You immediately start to imagine yourself in the same situation.
Suppose you are alone... (And loose all your drinking water in the desert...)
Short after I received news from a friend who takes part as navigator in the rally, Byron and Mark...
And we are back and the pictures are online.
It was a very hard trip we "rode" from sunrise till sunset but never managed to cover 40km during the whole day.....
But we managed to reach our goal the highest dune of Tunisia, Sif Essouane...
Steve the trip is already over, we were there in september 2016.
I am running behind with the pictures on the website.
I stille have to add the pictures from our morocco trip at the end of last year.
Our next trip is scheduled for the end of next month. We will go dune driving in Tunesia...
Just returned from Morocco and already planning a new trip.
We plan to return to the highest Dune of Tunisia. 8 days non stop Dune driving 9 days in Tunisia. Leaving end march.
Anybody interested?
(Some experience in sand driving is necessary)
This video shows what to expect. (Not my video)
I managed to post a couple of videos this morning. http://kripa.drives.international
For pictures please be patient I still have to post the ones from Albania first.
BTW camp site l'amazone @ Saidia sucks. Very noisy, loud music all night and outdated toilets and shower. Did not plan to...
Our trip is nearing the end we will be driving north again soon. First we will wash of the dust at Saidia. Had a nice day watching the real Dakar rally today. Http://KriPa.drives.international
Have a super 2017!
