80 and 105 series steering box cross shaft.

It is but it still doesn’t answer the question as to why they have the same part number apart from that this is the only one available now.

80 and 105 series steering box cross shaft.

Have done a search of the forum it appears that the 105 series cross shaft is larger and stronger than the 80. So my question is does anyone have a part number for the 105 shaft as the parts manuals I have looked at say they are the same part. In light of this should I presume that in fact the...

Cheers guys cleared it up for me. I had spoken to Toyota and they couldn't tell me if it should have a remote fob or not. I'll look at a remote after market kit.

Should my LC have remote central locking

On my 93 diesel lc it has the central locking and a Toyota alarm system. The problem is that if i unlock any other lock apart from the drivers door the alarm goes of also it doesn't open the rest of the car. Any help appreciated. Andy

    Pneumatic difflock actuator

I have the air actuators on mine as both the electric ones were goosed. I have to say they work faultlessly and both bring the dash lights on as that is a separate sensor. I have wired mine to the original switch as well so all act as they should.

    80 / 100 Series front recovery points.

I have a few set's of these for sale £50 including P&P They are made from 12mm laser cut plate. They have 15mm holes in so they will suit both 80 and 100 series. I will supply 10.9 grade flange bolts and 5mm thick washers if they are for the 80 series but the 100 can just use the standard bolts.

    New roof rack

I did think about the mesh floor but we have a van at work with one and it is horrendous for wind noise thats why i didn't use it. I suppose its all down to aero dynamics.

    New roof rack

Well having had to put my muddy waffle boards in the back of the LC twice now i decided it was tim for a small roof rack to be made to try and keep some of the mud out of the LC.

Front hub overhaul...pending! Advice in the lead-up.

I normally fill the cv joint up then fit the drive shaft, give it a good wiggle around before refitting to axle case then i usually squirt some more grease into the swivel housing as well. I would probably use 3 times what you have in that tube.

    ARB Compressor

Cheers guys. I would have liked the double one Chris but the price was a little too painful for me specially as this one was sat on a shelf in the garage waiting to go in the Defender.

steel heater pipe on block 4.2 Diesel

Thanks for your help. i'm home now so taken a couple of pics if this helps identify it.It is squirting out of the inside (towards the block) and i presume the steel pipe is an interference fit in the block as there are no clamps that hold it in.
