Silly question-why do you need to keep to diesel?

If you want something with get up and go, have a look at Lexus RX400H or the newer 450. 0-60 in 7 seconds for a 2 ton vehicle, is a lot of get up and go. I sold my hundred and got a RX400H, and it goes like stink, and I still get 31mpg for the V6 petrol engine. It's the 3.3ltr VVT-I.

No, it's been going on for a while now, but it is getting worse unfortunately.

It might be more expensive, but I think it's an easier install and nothing going through the body. I am weary of drilling through bodywork. Bumper plastic is another thing. I will have to save up for that, and with my health deteriorating, it will be maybe next year.

I like my 100, but I would swap it any day for a 70 series double cab or troopy/prado with a minimum of 3.0lt diesel.

And I guess finding a lower mileage vehicle older than ten years old, will be like hens teeth.

Yep. It is beautiful up there. Camping on Nyika on the Malawi side, is like going back to the 60's. There are evergreen forests up there, ideal for a short walk.

You are right, you get mesmerised, and that is why you need someone on the other side.

The water is too fast flowing for crocs. You would normally get out of the vehicle and do a walk check, before attempting something like this, and you would normally have someone on the other side directing the vehicle. We had to do this numerous times and never lost a vehicle.

Well if there is something that does not sell with the vehicle, I am always on the look to improve mine, like brakes, new exhaust, etc.
