Genuine Toyota Long Life 'Red' Coolant vs Aisin's Ultra Long Life 'Blue' Coolant

I’ve just been looking at the RoughTrax website and at the differences between the ‘Genuine Toyota Long Life "RED" Coolant’, and the ‘Aisin's Ultra Long Life Blue Coolant’. Both are compatible with my vehicle (KZJ95R-1KZTE), though the Aisin’s version is quite significantly cheaper. However...

SERVO SUB-ASSY, DAMPER, Genuine Toyota 87106-35040

So, I know this little black box as a 'temperature control unit', at least that is what I call it. In the 6 or so years that I have owned my Toyota, it has never worked. This means that to adjust the cabin temperature, I’ve had to manipulate the wire cable that attaches to the arm on the servo...

Finally, it has reared its ugly head! Rust.

Well, I supose that it was inevitable at some point. When I was cleaning out the rear upper shock mounts the other day using an air line, it blew out the rust and dirt ok, oh, and some of the metal! I am now hoping that it won't cost the earth to rectify......

Swapping out square headlights for round ones.

I have always preferred the look of round headlights over the square ones on the 90/95 series, so when the opportunity to get a set popped up, I decided to take it. They were extremely easy to install, tasking less than an hour to swap over. I am pleased with the look.

    Front Wheel Bearing Change

Hello good people. Back in July my nearside front wheel bearing started to deteriorate quite quickly, finally becoming unbearable (no pun intended) on a laning trip around Suffolk. It was time to sort it out. I contacted my usual garage to see if they would give me a quote to do the work...

Dinitrol Rust Treatment, Toyota Prado KZJ95

Hello folks. After quite a long time deliberating the pros and cons of having rust prevention treatment carried out, I finally bit the bullet and had the underside of my Toyota protected. To start with, the underside of the old Gal was, in my opinion, in reasonably good shape considering her...

    Coolant concerns......

Chaps and Chapesses. I've been flushing the old coolant out of my '97 Prado as it was crap. However I am confused about the amount of fluid it is taking to fill the radiator back up. It only takes about six litres of fluid before it tops up. Now, I'm sure mine is supposed to take 11 litres (rear...
