Don't you wish you had bought that 80 series for £3500 2 years ago. but said wow that's over priced never get that sort of money. hahaha do you keep yours now or sell it and get the high price.?
My 80 straight through its mot again nothing to do I did check the washer bottle for water and topped it up owned it 4 years and never washed it. going green laning Sunday hope it rains Monday to wash the mud off.
The only extra part needed is a rear offside drive shaft with the longer spline to fit into the locker. oh no you need a complete work shop with a 2 post ramp, grinders. drills and tap set apart from that a degree in mechanical engineering and a coffee machine. simple.
Chris you may be wrong on fitting locked diffs into none locked axle housing, a small and simple cut in the side of the circle and move 2 x studs and you have a lockered axle ready to take the diffs.
The best and quickest way to carry out the small job of changing the rear shocks first thing to do is open the package of your new shocks and look at the rubber grommet that comes with the set. and then cut a hole the same size in the floor just above the to of the shock. (push the rear seat...
like the truck, 100 series very nice. the down side is the import the radio and the sat nav are in Japanese. not an easy language to learn still very nice. well done
I'm talking about the 100 Toyota land cruiser with dot3 nothing else not your tractor, motor bike or your Austin 7. but on the side of the brake unit there is a valve block that controls the brake pressure and inside there the seals break down and then the ABS unit stops working. simple.
why not just make life simple use the dot 3 that Toyota put in it. then you don't need to bother with all that bollocks about performance/ outperforms and just drive it. its cheaper in the long run.
JUST IN CASE. what ever you do to your brake system only use DOT3 please don't use DOT4 DOT5 or new stuff. Toyota only had DOT3 when your car was built. it will rot out the seals in your brake master ABS unit then your in trouble.
That looks just great what a nice looking truck 24 valve manual you have done well. its a keeper. if you have any room left on your drive I have a 24 valve black auto I can sell you. you can only say sorry once more (your wife will understand) she must know you can't say no.
hi, good to here from you, you must tell us more about your travels and any help you can offer with the land cruisers. great to have you on board, and have you any photos to share. please post on here. cheers mate Ted.
I have the standard set now. no difference from the AHC but the guy who fitted it said the lift or heavy duty is very good at towing and does not let the trailer take over the truck when braking and still sits the same so it looks right.
Yes a very sad day, only ever ran over cats and rabbits but a dog how ever must you feel the lowest a man can feel running over a small dog was it a little boy or girls pet, I bet that is going to be very sadly missed. maybe you could have used your brakes a little more and missed it. sorry...
Jan at Uk 4x4 Norfolk cb Centre can supply both pedders standard and lift kits for the 100 theirs another workshop that will fit it for you near by, makes a big difference when towing.
I had the same trouble with mine, 100 series. Fitted replacement injectors fixed it. but mine has done 340000 miles and it runs sweet has a nut. best of luck.
Its nice to go down memory lane on good times. Its worth going back to have a look, first time I was in Cromer was 42 years ago, my wife and I went on a BSA Bantan 175. after riding for 3 hours. had a walk around and the place looked like a dump, 40 years later driving around the coast ended...
On the hill at East Runton near Cromer. beautiful part of the coast, clean beaches not many people one of the best places to go. slid down the sand face had a walk along the water front then had ice cream at Seaview beach café
