    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

Sold to a local cruiser enthusiast who already has a 70, he's planning to sort the bodywork out and make it into a weekend camping cruiser so I'm happy. Thanks for the all the interest and advice!

    60 project

Looks like it was off the road for 8 years between mot's, wonder how many mice are living in it... The seller was one of the first to enquire about mine but I didn't hear anything back.

    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

I should never have sold the 90 I had, I had the 1kzte and always wanted the d4d but it was still a great truck and would still be worth the same now 8 years later

    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

It was prior to listing on ebay, the ad was up for a day and then deleted without trace of it being on there, perhaps just a glitch... as you say there tends to be a more serious buyer on there, maybe i'll have another go.

    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

I've had lots of interest Higgy, one viewing, tonnes of people asking for my number who then don't call... plus the usual ridiculous offers in pidgin English! It was great to meet you too Andy, you were on your way to Lincolm if I remember, shame I couldn't make it there this year. I tried...

    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

Thanks All, its now on ebay so fingers crossed there's some interest on there. I doubt it'll be the last Landcruiser i'll own, would still be keen for a commercial 90 or 120 if I could ever find one...

    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

Cheers Higgy, I know nothing about bikes but that one looks awesome for some retro touring or blasting down neon soaked Tokyo streets! I'll probably advertise elsewhere at the weekend, from past experience most people looking to buy a 'classic' don't like modifications so maybe I'll have to put...

    Selling my HJ60 - SOLD

Its a sale I know I'll regret but I'm selling my 60 to fund a couple of business ventures I've started. Unfortunately I just don't have the time available to drive it anymore and need the cash rather than the vehicle at the moment. I bought it from a forum member Mark, who did a huge amount of...

    60 series build

Although I would agree for your intended use Moggy a more simple less stressed NA setup with fewer points of failure is wise

    60 series build

Its certainly been a noticeable improvement for me and I still haven't turned up the fuel yet, running 33's made it difficult to maintain speed on hills but not anymore. The straight through side exit exhaust I made makes it worth it for the noise alone!

    60 up for grabs

It got me thinking and it seems 61's are pretty common in Japan, not that this excuses what's been done to the monster! For a bit more I'd import this one instead: https://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/toyota/land+cruiser/23879132/?isNew=1

    60 up for grabs

Not sure if its already been mentioned but I just spotted this 61 on ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Land-Cruiser/223344227567 You'll need 11k and very long legs!

    60 up for grabs

It does look tidy and i'm also interested to see what it fetches, i'd guess someone was trying to find out the reserve as a bid of 5k was made and retracted. It doesn't appear to have any MOT history on the .gov checker so possibly been off the road for a good while.

    120 Commercial

Cheers Andy, it looks like they're mostly over in Ireland. Strange they weren't more popular over here - surely lots of people want an all terrain van! The 60 is going well thanks, runs and sounds great with your turbo kit fitted but I've hardly time to drive her since...

These seem very few and far between, are there any out there? Would prefer a 5 door. Thanks

    Hj60 Engine

Ah no worries, I was interested in having it to keep for spares that's all. I'm looking for some auto diffs though?

I could be interested Tony, are there any ancillaries or just the block?

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

No worries, easily done. I'll still keep an eye out for 80's rear bumpers as I'd I really like a swing out spare carrier.

    Big Bertha the Blue Cruiser

Looks like a proper job Hayden I bought bushes from milners: https://www.milneroffroad.com/toyota-uk/land-cruiser/hj60-4-0d-1980-1990 This place in Europe have loads too but I've not used them. http://www.euro4x4parts.com/toyota_parts/landcruiser_series_60/hj60_3_9d_diesel_1980_1990

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

As luck had it I was given a Hilux rear bumper yesterday and spent an hour attacking it with the grinder until it fitted, it ain't pretty but its better than no bumper! Also removed the tow ball and mount.

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

Andy's measurement is at 1166? 5cm each side is a bit much I think. Good point about the gate, the top and bottom rails look reasonable, the main thing putting me off is the fumes from galv when its welded.

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

Nice, always liked those! And yes I did think that looked a bit too clean and tidy to have been mine, seeing yours and Ben's photos make me realise they're also available in shiny... The winch bumper is all good and is staying. I took it off yesterday and realised the superwinch husky I have...

Hi to all from Tonka Tuff now being a first time Toyota owner

Interesting, I read a while back Toyota valvetrains needed extra lubrication running on LPG, I know a guy running plain gas injection on a 90's jeep 6 cyl without any dramas but those engines are very basic which probably makes it less fussy. One of the big positives of a petrol engine is the...

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

I can't remember the story explaining its absence now but i'm pretty sure it involved rust... Is that a K5 being pulled?
  42. dubyab

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

Very helpful, thanks Andy, mine is 106cm between the outsides so a good 10+cm narrower. Probably rules out an 80 bumper unless I can have a good look first. That looks good! Seeing as mine is missing the original front bumper too I might mock up something cheap and nasty out of scaffolding pipe.
  43. dubyab

    Rear bumpers, 80 fitment?

I'm looking for a rear bumper for my 60, preferably one that can take a beating but there isn't much out there, cruiserworld do a weld yourself kit for 459 euros which is probably the best option so far, short of trying to make one myself...

Hi to all from Tonka Tuff now being a first time Toyota owner

WOW that'd be £375 worth here!! I'd love a V6 120, are LPG conversions popular over there? And welcome from another new guy

Hi Nick I like the clean look of your truck, i'll have a good read through your garage thread. I've removed the 33's at present to spray the rims and its back on the 205/80's, feels like its been turbo'd! You'd be welcome to have a go with them if you wanted, I've got a ratchet gun/jacks etc so...

Is yours a 2H moggy? 235/85/16 work out to be 31.73" so not far off my part worn 33's im sure.

OME or Toyota are off the cards for now due to cost but that's good to know, I have a mk3 Hilux on OME springs all round that handles great. I don't seem able to message you about the turbo kit - perhaps I need to get to 20 posts first... cheers
