Got it back from the bodyshop had the rust around the windscreen sorted with a new Oem windscreen and rubber surround fitted. Also a hole in the passenger side rear sill repaired.
Had the hole roof done in gloss black including the windscreen pillars.
Would have been a lot easier had some of the screws not rusted in. Didn't want to spray anything on to loosen them as I was about to paint so took a bit more prep time when painting. It is possible to unscrew all surrounds on the lights. Didn't remove all chrome i just sanded to roughen up for...
De chromed the front end had it apart for the intercooler install so thought I'd tidy it up a little took all week with primer gloss black spray and then a clear coat applied. Also took her for a little drive fuel not been setup for cooler yet but its definitely a nicer drive already.

Installed intercooler today. Not all back together as yet painting grill and all the chrome around the lights. Going to take it to a local diesel specialist to setup fueling. Not test driven as not all back together.
Struggling to get them balanced as everywhere I go they say the hubs are too large for their machines. Last place said not to bother I would be wasting my time as they're so large the tyres. I had my wheels refurbished they mounted the tyres.
After treating a little rust spot under sliding windows a couple of weeks ago I have now touched up all the black surrounding the side windows. Paint still drying so pics not great.
I've acquired some tubular side steps / running boards. I don't have the brackets to fix them to my 80. Any one have any they don't need or know where I may be able to get a set. They fix in a different way than the flat running boards that were on they had 4 brackets either side these tubular...
I put mine from my 80 on ebay. They sold can't remember exactly but think it was less than £20. The next step was the skip so happy with £20 for them to be out of my way.
