Thanks Rodger, I think I may cut the brackets off the axle as they look a little cobbled together then extend the bump stop mounting on the chassis . Much appreciate the part supplier info Regards Darran.

Michael, two bonnets for sale on eBay at the moment along with some other parts you mentioned. Good look with the rebuild/ repairs. I agree with Rodger, body off if you have the space.

I think I’ve seen one on YouTube with a 1uz, A friend of mine has fitted one into a Mazda rx7, and I think using an rx8 gearbox....... anyway he has a spare 1uz and offered me it yesterday. That’s something else to think about lol

My 1983 FJ is fitted with a roll cage, the cage goes from the rear wheel tubs, has a main hoop, hoop around the roof area over the seats with two bars above you head that attach to the front hoop..hope that makes sense lol. The front hoop is attached to the floor area at the front of the door...
