Hi all after 10 years with out a Cruiser ( had 80 previously) I’ve got myself an old R reg 3.0 auto 95 gx . 150k miles it’s had a very quiet life in general so in reasonable condition . I’m using it as a tow/ farm truck generally, anything to look out for on this model and vintage? thanks

what sort of money does it cost you a week/ month to do that sort of mileage on gas ???? Yes im aware of the ahc problems but would probably look to upgrade for towing anyway.. cheers

I am putting my caravan up for sale,so thought i would put it on here for a while first. It is a ABBEY SPECTRUM 540 Twin axle 2003 model it has a mover fitted (to help move when not towing). it has a fixed bed with end bathroom/shower.I have owned since new and it has spent most of its life...

Thats de-lamination,aka as water has got between the two layers of glass,due to old age thats all,just get it replaced if you have the cover? cheers Gary

ordered some new belts from toyota yesterday fan and ac belts,had a call today to say they are back order!!!!!could be tomorrow,next week,month etc etc. could get them elsewhere but will give em a week or so. anybody had similar problems with relatively common parts??? cheers Gary

Treated the old girl to a wash and bit of a tidy up today and while having a nose around underneath noticed the n/s swivel/knuckle seals have gone,grease and mess all over place,it always seems to be this side that goes,what is the reason?and what is the cure? thanks folks gary

Well only doing the water pump as its done 200k and as im about to replace everything around it,And the fact im not a mechanic and need to drive it every day,so while its off the road to be done its another 18 year old part that wont be failing on me. :thumbup: cheers Gary

The passenger side front seats electrical adjustment has ceased working on the back (upright)part of the seat,it will tilt back but it wont rise up again,does anybody know if this a switch or a seat internals problem,would like to fix it if poss as it can be a bit awkward at times. cheers Gary

recently read about the headlight bulbs being different,just got a set of 6 bulbs of ebay and the 2 inner bulbs are completely different to what is fitted in the car,I didnt realise til i had pulled them all apart and lost half the skin on my hands :x :x :x . Ended up dropping the headlights...

need a bit of info on my boiler BAXI SOLO 2 about 10 yrs old ish.Never had any probs with it but over the last 2 mornings it has failed to come on in the morning as it normally does,it has been trying as you can smell the gas,I removed the cover and used the knob under neath to turn off and on...

I have looked up the posts by Adrianr about fitting a light in the boot in the headlining,and that some have the wiring in place,but is it a definite that it was only in cars that didnt have the 3rd row of seats????,i had a quick look under the headlining but only in the centre didnt see...

After Chris's tip on non return valve ,i got one off ebay and fitted yesterday,ive just put another £100 of diesel so will have to wait a while to see if prob has been sorted. cheers gary

Car has dried out,i have had all the carpets and trim up and have done the hosepipe test from all angles,car has stayed dry???? so i dont know how or why but ive put ot all back together again now.none the wiser :?
