Bit of maintenance on the Troopy after last autumns trip to Morocco/Western Sahara, in preparation for my next trip to Mauritania.
Oils & filters changed
Grease
Wheel bearings checked
Frony & rear brake pads replaced
General check over
As above I have a used axle casing and both half shafts (no diff) l need gone, these are spare after completing the Jmacx track corrected upgrade to my VDJ78 Troopcarrier
As Far as I’m aware, the older model with round headlight's both the front and rear axles had the same track. The issue was when Toyota increased the front chassis width to accommodate the V8 engine changing the front axle track, this is when the front wings were changed and square headlights...
Yes, I was happy with what I paid. I dropped the car off at the docks in Sydney, and it was dropped off at my house in the UK with all paperwork including MOT/V5 complete. Where did you purchase the vehicle from, I’m guessing either Bali or Java…… I lived/worked in Indonesia for over 25 years
I used Home | My Car Import | Import Car to the UK - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club] when I imported my Troopy, they did everything including registration.
Hello Jan, I built a VDJ78 Troopy a few years back in Australia before shipping to the UK, I think the best and most used mod is the Alu-Cab roof conversion.
I remember now, when I order the stove Partner sent the regular but I had to change the POL connector (nut and tail).
The regulator itself i believe has a higher operating pressure than the standard fitted to most LPG cylinders here.
I have a partner stove, I use a calor gas propane bottle. If I remember correctly the regulator is high pressure, next time when I go to the container I will have a look and take some photos

Yes, and happy with the work completed.
After importing my Troopy I got Benjy to fit a diesel heater, diff locks, tidy up the 12 volt system and a few other jobs, I’m more than happy with the work and communication before & during the job.
