My Landcruiser has been written off by my insurance company......... doing the other guy for Insurance fraud...... anyway the power steering gearbox has been broken and hence have no steering. Has anyone got a secondhand one that works ok, I can buy off them so I can hopefully get the car going...

If anyone is interested I believe they are M10-1.25 x 25 Metric Fine Setscrews. I bought some stainless steel hex head bolts to replace the clutch type one.

I had these clutch head type bolts in my 1994 VX (HDJ81) import, but both of my UK Landcruisers have ordinary 14mm bolts. The production date of my import was 12/1994. So may be just an import thing. Luckily mine came out easily!

Thanks everybody. Well it's fixed now. The exact cause I'm not sure about, but when I replaced the drivers side battery the car sprung into life. So not sure if it was a dodgy connection or bad battery on the drivers side, but now luckily if's fixed! Cheers

Hi, Anyone got any tips for me on this problem. The car (1996 24valve) started fine only 2 hours earlier, but then next time I tried to start it it just clicked, all the dashboard lights dimed and the voltage gauge went to 0v. I then look to see if I had left something on.... no. I checked...

I just tried to adjust the drive belts on my car, due to them squeaking when cold and have found that I have a stud and nut for the adjuster bolt ( the stud/bolt/what ever it should be going left to right on the car). It should be a be bolt I assume? So someone has probably broken it before...

Hi Karl, Yes I'm happy with it. I never fitted it, I bought the car with the suspension lift. I would say the shocks are good as when they are set to the hardest setting the LC drives about the same as a normal one, in terms of body roll. The handling is still pretty good even though it 6...

The diffs are standard as far as I know.... will find out soon as I need to do some work on the front diff. While out I will probably put a diff locker in it, ARB probably. The suspension lift is 6 inches, I believe. Has Rancho RS9000 shocks with manual hardness settings, so can make it ok...
