    Let’s see your 120s

Further to my last post here’s a pic of the rear. Photos don’t show the wee scrapes and dings but they are there. It doesn’t stop the 120 looking nice though.

    Let’s see your 120s

It is a recent pic. It was taken a week and a half ago. I keep my vehicles as nice as I can. I don’t go off-road anymore so keeping the vehicle nice is that bit easier.

    Fuel Hatch

Has anyone else had a problem with their fuel hatch not opening. Mine needs a couple of goes before it opens. Any thoughts anyone?

    Let’s see your 120s

I was wondering that it might be nice to see everyone’s vehicles. I’ll start it off with my 2005 LC3.

    What’s missing?

Thanks for the reply. It is much appreciated. I am indeed missing the pliers. I have since found out that the silver tube thing is a spark plug spanner which probably wasn’t there originally as I am running a diesel.

    What’s missing?

Can anyone throw any light on what’s missing from my 2005 LC3 toolkit?

    Rusty Nuts

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps Roughtrax should advertise their wheel nuts as not suitable for winter use. To get them re-chromed would also raise the price to genuine Toyota part territory. What would I also do for wheel nuts when they were away getting re-chromed. I do agree that it wouldn’t...

    Rusty Nuts

Thanks for your replies. I certainly won’t be shopping at Roughtrax in the future.

    Rusty Nuts

I was wondering if anyone else has bought wheel nuts from Roughtrax. As I was getting my wheels refurbed I bought a new set of nuts from Roughtrax as the old ones were rusty. They have lasted only a few months and now look as bad as the old ones. A call to Roughtrax resulted in nothing as they...

    Toyota Dealer or local?

I’m just wanting to know people’s opinions on this. My recently purchased 2005 120 series has a full Toyota service history since new. If I maintain this history it involves a 3hr round trip to my Toyota dealer not counting the time it will take for the service and any remedial work which may be...

    New Car Day

Many thanks for your post Andy. It’s great to know how reliable your 120 has been. I must admit I was looking for an LC3 but would have been happy with the ‘right’ vehicle. One of the attractions was the LC3 has a full Toyota service history since new. I also like the colour which was a bonus.

Sensors, corrosion, etc. I just lost patience. Normal shocks and springs are most welcome.

    New Car Day

It actually feels remarakably similar. Power to weight ratio feels just fine and the cornering is also familiar. I’m a happy bunny!

    Dashboard Mats

Thanks for that. I have a crack just above the instrument binnacle and over the glove box. I thought the easiest solution would be to get a dash mat which would cover both areas.

Does anyone know where a good quality dashboard mat can be purchased? Thanks.

    New Car Day

The 100 continued to give me grief after the initial repair to the air suspension. It just didn’t seem to want to work and I just lost patience I suppose. The 120 has spent most of its life in the south of England and so hasn’t been subject to the dreaded tinworm and is pretty solid. I now have...

    New Car Day

Hi Everyone. Whilst I have been a member of the Forum for quite some time it was as a 100 series owner. The big 100 and I parted company last year when I purchased a rather nice Corolla TS GR Sport. However, the 4x4 itch would not go away and today I took possession of a 2005 120 series LC3. I...

    Idea for light bar mounting.

That is very neat. Where did you obtain the light bar please and was it easy to fit? Does it make a marked difference to the full beam?

    Wheel Centre Caps

Does anyone know if a 2001 wheel centre cap will fit a 2006. They look different but I was wondering if they are interchangeable.

    100 Series Wheel Centre Caps

These wheel centre caps were removed from my 2001 100 series Cruiser. I am looking for £50 for the two good caps and am throwing in a third one free as, although it works, it has one of the spring retaining tabs broken. I can post for £5 p&p.

    5 OEM 16" Alloys for 100 Series. +SOLD+

Well that is interesting. Within a day of posting up that the wheels are free I get four responses. Weeks have gone by with them advertised for what was a very reasonable asking price with no response whatsoever. I thought the lack of response was the buyer had to collect. However, four...

    AHC WOES

It wasn't the sensor that was faulty on my Cruiser. The problem was the bracket to the chassis on to which the sensor was bolted that was rusted through and had split. My local garage who are marvellous fabricated a new bracket and after a bit of welding everything was fine once again. I hope...

    AHC WOES

A huge thanks to Andy for sorting out my problems and fashioning a temporary fix this morning. It was great to meet you and Georgie and enjoy a good natter over coffee and a rather nice homemade brownie. Just another example of what a great club we belong to.
