    Engines are overrated

The software has failed and the hardware is commanded that it's believing "it's being stolen" so the software will shut it down for good! Nothing wrong with the truck... just will not start and run! ....

    Rear aircon block off

I saw an advertisement for the block off caps just this last weekend for this very same subject.......... they look very handy to shut off a rear system and retain the rest of the front AC.... But caution when buying as the fitting's vary in size and connection..

How do I replace my wheel studs easier?

How does fitting wider heavier axles on it sound to you? You achieve the wider look and you have massive bonus of running heavy duty as opposed to the light duty axles that you have on it. Going from light duty baby cruiser axles to the big bollox HEAVY DUTY HDJ axles will make yer little lj...

Who is doing what maintenance today?

It is the earth junction that is bolted to the rear of the cylinder head which it is a tight spot between the bulk head.... It is also a tell tale sign that the engine has been removed previously.

    Hj75 engine swap

Hi there man and welcome... I have a bj74 that I fitted a 1hdt to using the same 2h h55f gearbox as the one you have. I had to buy a 1hz h55f bell housing and change the input shaft from 2h to 1hz on the gearbox. The input for the 2h is quite a bit shorter so that's the route I took. As the...

    A cheap landcruiser ?

It was £2250.00 for the latter one. was looking at it for the wiring/modules, but there wasn't enough enough salable parts left on it to recuperate the buying cost! As said before, there could be many of the so called slow sellers still up for sale (cheap for a reason or expensive for the same...

    A cheap landcruiser ?

Ahh yes indeed, it could be seen as a steal.. but unfortunately the truck itself does have it's security devices locked! The real real cheap ones are orange on the under side with 250 k on the clock, filthy inside with all the body panels dented with numerous outer body trim parts missing...

Well about to hit the trigger on a replacement ecu with the correct code on it.... There is a peril in my thought's that there is a unfound problem within the truck and the new ecu will come back with the same outcome... So will sync the system via the obd2 port and " see if it will start...

    Troopy axles conversion

When you consider this.. if you fit an 80 rear axle (case) to a post 2007 70 series... the rear would be 22.5mm per side wider on the rear.. If you leave it as stock the front is 47.5mm wider per side... I think that having a slightly wider track on the rear is more desirable than vice versa...

    Troopy axles conversion

After my post earlier, it got me wondering.. So what is the difference in width between the front and rear of the wider fronted 70 series?
  19. Iwan

    Troopy axles conversion

Just checked the dimensions for rear axles.. 80 rear 1360mm and newer 70 rear 1220mm This is the measurement from backing plate to backing plate.. the hubs and disc setup is the same on both..

Turbo charger to exhaust pipe studs

It's a problem and we all know on the forum that we don't like this! Surely max speeding rods should be able to help as they supplied this... Will oem wheels / tyres of a 90 and 120 fit each other?

I think the 120 has bigger diameter front discs.. because the 90 series front calipers fit directly onto 60 series and earlier 70 series.. and due to the 17" wheels on the 120 is because the braking has been upgraded. The lighter end of cruisers 70's 90's 120's and 150's are all prado's.

    2h to 1hz N/A engine swap

The input shaft for the 2h h55f is shorter... but a fella who did a 1hdt swap into a hj45 made a brass adapter that fitted where the spiggot bearing originally sat and machined a new spiggot bearing place in the brass adapter to catch the 2h style input shaft to make up the shortage. 2h to 1hz N/A engine swap

Regarding the connection to the h55f trans and clutch they both have a 270mm plate but the input shaft that the clutch rides on is shorter on the 2h h55f version. You need to change the bell housing also to fit the 1hz to the 2h h55f ,,, so your best off using the hzj 75 with the older trans...
