    A cheap landcruiser ?

The arch liners were the source of the majority of the mot welding. The cars been professionally undersealed twice...but not the inside under the liner!

    A cheap landcruiser ?

Mines not rusty BTW... It's 20 years old and has had a few small patches that I've had repaired by a professional. I challenge anyone to find one with a better service history, or that's had an easier life. Every bill, over serviced, 40 mile daily motorway commute, with the odd long trip...

    Now sold!!!! 120 LC 4 2003, 190k.

I've only ever advertised it here! ( and on a lc owners fb page) I really love the car, can't be arsed with the nightmare that's ebay, and hate selling cars. I don't need the money. I paid £14k for it when I bought it, and it owes me nothing. It's so handy having a "spare" car for emergency...

It looks smart now I've cleaned and polished it. Makes me want to keep it, but I've hardly used it all year.

    Now sold!!!! 120 LC 4 2003, 190k.

Sad to say I'm selling my 120. I've had it for over a decade and maintained it regardless of cost. 190k miles (110k of those by me) mainly on my 50 mile daily commute down the M6 If you look at my profile you'll see it's a cherished vehicle. It's never let me down, but I've bought a hiace...

    Brake warning light

Update... It's taken me four months to get to the bottom of this! Without Paul at West coast off road I honestly think I'd have had to sell the car! Long story, but in the end it was the lindop tuning box that had shorted out when the loom was cut, and was throwing the throttle position sensor...

    Brake warning light

I have found the cause of the warning light. The clown who welded the wheel arches managed to nick the wiring loom with an angle grinder. I'm not happy Hopefully it's a straight forward job to repair.

    Brake warning light

I'll try and get the codes read by a mate! The brake fluid is full... My money is on a wire to the brakes, but we'll see. If that fails I'll take the batteries off ( I know they weren't disconnected while welding, unless he re set the clock and tuned the radio) The lad who welded it has made...

    Brake warning light

The plot thickens.... Drive the cruiser after an MOT pass to work. Along with the brake warning light being on my cruise control no longer works. The cruise light flashes, but doesn't let cruise engage. I'm beginning to think a brake or speed sensor (same thing? Has been damaged.

    Brake warning light

Yes...the round exclamation mark. Yes...it's consistent. Light goes off when I release the handbrake, comes on again after a short drive, and stays on. If I turn the ignition off it goes out, but comes on again after a short drive. Applying and releasing the handbrake while driving doesn't...

    Brake warning light

Hopefully this is an easy fix...I've used the search I've just had some welding ( front wheel arches) done by a mate, and picked up the 120. Prior to the work there were no warning lights The red brake warning light goes off when I release the handbrake, but comes on again after 100m or so...

    Dash above the clocks splitting

Mines been getting progressively worse for five years or so. It's pretty bad tbh, so I've bought a chinese dash carpet off eBay. Iirc it was £20 ish, and is pretty good!

One stop shop for 120 series fluids?

Doesn't look like oilman ( Opie oils) post here any more... I'm looking to do a full fluid change on my 120: Manual box, transfer, and both diffs ( think rear is lad) Anyone got a supplier? I've had the car 10 years, it's done 170k and I'm happy to spend on decent quality fluids.

    Anyone in Ripon?

I've bought some steel rims via eBay... They need collecting, but I am working weekends for the next couple weeks, then going on holiday. Ideally if I'm driving over to Ripon ( from near Preston) I want to make the most of the trip, and have a night somewhere nice. Anyone local available to...

Help needed. Car wont recognise fob randomly

I had an issue with a neighbour's WiFi router blocking my key fob. Mine wouldn't work, as would the Audi across the road...the wife's mini was fine.

    Thermal Window Screens

I've got a set of paragon external silver screens for a ducato motorhome that I use on my 120, they're a tiny bit too big, but work fine. I use them for frost protection. I'm betting that with a bit of digging you could find van screens that are a passable fit.

Cheapest diesel night heater on eBay test / review

From memory it was £15 ish off eBay. Vented, and came with all the necessary fittings, with a fuel pick up tube going in from the top. I'll see.if I can find a link. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F331582120663 Voila!

Cheapest diesel night heater on eBay test / review

I've been running this in my camper van since before Xmas with no issues: I'm away once or twice a month, and the heater has performed faultlessly. The install was easy, I swapped the 10l tank for a 5l go kart tank, and it worked fine from the off. In the snow this weekend it took a very cold...

    Wheels Refurbed

Glad to see it's not just me who has to pump my tyres up weekly...one drops from 40 -20 psi over 4 days. A wheel Refurb has been on my to do list for five years!!!
  43. F

    Partner stove

I used a cast iron double burner for a few years. Very good...powerful enough to use a chip pan outside the tent. Obviously heavy, but solid. You need a windshield though. I've got a campervan at the moment, so it's in storage.

    Tight Steering on 120

I've just had this exact problem...I thought it was a power steering issue, but a full can of WD 40 and then a re grease has sorted it. I've just had the bus undersealed, and think the steam cleaning caused it. I didn't believe something so simple could cause something that felt so bad!
  45. F

Cheapest diesel night heater on eBay test / review

Yes, but it would have to heat the engine, the hot water cylinder, and a radiator...I'm guessing that should take a while. Hopefully blown air heating will be almost instant.

Cheapest diesel night heater on eBay test / review

I bought one last week for my campervan. I'll be fitting it in the next week or so...I've done a bit of research, and am happy to take the risk at 1/6 the price of an eberspacher or webasto. I've had loads of Chinese copied gear with no real issues. The van already has an eberspacher hydronic...

Definitely take it to west coast off-road! You can 100% trust Paul to give it a once over and tell you what it needs. Looks a great bus! Whereabouts are you? EDIT...just seen youre in Southport. Wcor is just round the corner. If you're not sure who to use for servicing, call in for a look...

    potential 120 owner...or disco 3?!?

I've had both... A 54 disco 3, and a 53 lc4. The d3 was superb...fast, smooth, fantastic off-road, comfortable...and troubled with numerous minor faults. I had to be recovered twice in 3 months. The lc4 is a little dated in comparison, but hasn't missed a beat in the 80,000 miles I've put on...

    £26 later..

That's smart! I'm tempted, but sometimes need to be able to open the rear door slightly...( Boot access when towing or to fasten lead on dog)
