Hi. How much are you looking for the interior? Also, would you post/ carriage the the items (pallet?) Are all the parts there? Thanks Fraser

    Wanted. 285 75 16 BFG

I'd possibly take a BFG of this size also. I'm running GG AT2's but tread pretty much the same if not exact, again for a second spare.

    No lights.

Well found the fuse box in engine bay. Gave them all a shoogle. Took the big fuse out and put it back in. Lights started working again apart from near side rear and sidelight. Changed the 10 amp fuse, all working again. :)

    No lights.

Have done something to my 80 series lights. No side, tail or headlights!!!! is there a fuse anywhere for these???? cheers.

    Fitted 2nd hand steering box,but......

Cheers folks. Just been out a motorway run and there's play at the wheel!!!! I've just noticed when stopped with ignition off the steering wheel still has play in it !!! That be the UJ or could it be something more sinister inside the box.? I still have the old box that was fine except the...

    Fitted 2nd hand steering box,but......

...... the steering seems a bit heavier and the steering wheel is now not quite centred. Would this be a tracking issue? Are the steering arms set to a standard angle on all boxes? Same for steering rod splines into UJ ? Cheers.

Who is doing what maintenance today?

Oil and filters changed. Timing belt done. Props etc greased. Diff oil, transmission oil etc checked. Tmrw, rear pads and non leaking steering box to be fitted. :)

    New to me 80.

Phew, I was in a cold sweat there!! When the wife seen the pics, she said " your not starting that carry on with that one, you have one round the side of the house for that!!!". Better get that dirty water off the arches!!!

Not had time to look through em, but a wee selection here. http://www.amazon.co.uk/car-outside-tem ... uge&page=1 Had a look, not upto much and some run on a AAA battery!!!

    Outside temperature gauge.

I've already got an aux temp gauge for engine in a pod mounted down by the high low selector on my 80. It's analogue style as well. I'm sure moulded pods that fit onto windscreen pillar are available. Hmmm But yes digital would be nice.

    Somethin like this? http://www.vdo-instruments.com/instrume ... s-12v.html

    Outside temperature gauge.

Might just buy it for all it is. But a simple 1 trick pony as you say might be better. I need to beat the -15 I was in last year going through Glen Orchy. Plus I drive a gritter/plough, so it's always good to know what the outside conditions are like en route to the yard. I'll have a wee...

    Outside temperature gauge.

With winter just round the corner, I'm looking for an outside temperature gauge. Something with a nice digital display. Seen some on e bay, for a whole £8.99. But are they any good. http://bit.ly/NbwN17 Or anyone fitted something else? Cheers.

    Poor in puddles.

On the subject of switches, what's the rectangular switch for. The one down where rear heater control and dash dim switches are. It'd not in the manual. Is it the passenger ejector?
  35. S

    New to me 80.

Nope I like Snapseed. ;) I'm thinking of selling the Jimny but don't think I can part with it. :)

Could have told me you ran out of ejector seat switches and grafted in a CDL switch !!!

    New to me 80.

It's pretty much they way I like it to be honest, keeping it practical. Ha. Fancy a rear wheel carrier,a double one. :) A roof tent would be nice, so I can use it when away weekends climbing the hills. It'll act as a tow car for the tin house and my Jimny. So no point going bigger in the tyre...

    Poor in puddles.

Ha. I'm acting on your advice. Oh, and I've got that pin thing going on as well. Ha But can I engage/disengage centre diff whilst on the move?

    New to me 80.

My 80 series. Did belong to Ecoman, I'm sure you'll all know it well. Just fitted the wind/ rain deflectors I got with truck. Going to get the rear windows tinted in the next couple of weeks and fit the rear ladders. :) Cheers.

    Poor in puddles.

Not using spacers. Think the rims are 8" wide, will need to check. I had the khumo KL71's on my Surf. They did cope better and are directional tyres so have a V shaped pattern. Hopefully the GG's will come into their own in the snow. I drive a gritter/plough so need to get to the yard in the...

Ooooofffff, wouldn't fancy it at 70. Spare under crackers required.

    Poor in puddles.

Cheers. Yip. I was thinking of putting on the centre diff but wasn't sure if you could do it on the move? My 1st Toyota Surf only had 4H with locked centre diff and used that in the wet to help the 33's, but never made that much difference. I also thought about tyre pressure. I'm running high...

    Poor in puddles.

Had to drive through some heavy rain on way home today. I thought with the weight of the LC it'd romp through them. But it was the opposite. Shallow surface water had the truck twitching about. I was doing 40 mph. Running 285 75 16's Grabber AT2's,2" sus lift and up rated steering damper. So...

    Greetings from Argyll,Scotland

Had 3 Jimnys over the years for off roading. In standard form, with it's light weight, coil sprung live axles, great turning radius and not forgetting how narrow the wee one is,it's a winner already. Adding a set of mud tyres will add to the surprise of how good these wee trucks are...

    Greetings from Argyll,Scotland

After the Cruiser hunt, it ends here. With the arrival of my daughter the goal posts moved again!! Now have Ecomans 80 in the driveway. Something big enough to be practical and something big enough to be impractical. Ha.

    Diff Drop Kit

I dropped the diff on my 2ng Gen Surf ( torsion bars up front). Also ended up filtting Ball Joint spacers which really helped CV angle and replacing boots. All i used were longer bolts and a cutting of tube with washers tack welded either end. Lucky if it cost £5.
