I own a 100 Vx Diesel and a 200 Vx diesel and enjoy both every drive. We do get 50 and 500ppm diesel in South Africa, I see 12l/100 in city driving Rgs Scalci

They had it for a few days testing everything and could not find any issue. What did happen, when it cuts out and you cool the pump of by throwing water over it, it starts and drive for a few kms.....

Got my LC back today, they fitted a new diesel pump, lets see if this solves the problem ( the new pump was on their account :) )

well I took it to diesel experts, they said it is the cut our switch on the pump. While they where at this, I asked them to look at the injectors and pump, as I have 400k on the clock. They overhauled the injectors and pump. Got the LC back, drove it for a week and it does,it again. What we...

sorry to,hijack this, :) there is a way to turn the motor off via the Toyota diagnostics, does anyone know if this is possible with out that?

I had a simalar issue a few weeks ago. It was the front propshaft universals that was completely stuffed.

I think I found the issue. It as the front propshaft universal joint. When we took this off, the was a lot of play, and when removing the universal, the roller bearing was in pieces. new one in and the noise is gone... :)

An update: The head is back, I will drive it this week and see what it is doing. Now for a beer. :)

A quick update: I got the head back from the engineering guys, they had to scheme it. The did a pressure test and said it is fine. I did a penetrating spray test as-well just to be sure on the head and each cylinder, and all looks fine J Not to put it all together and see what happens...

Guys I took the head off today. third time now :( And I replace every time it with a OEM gasket. How will it look if the gasket is blown on the head and gasket? I will take the head in next week for a pressure test. What else should I check while it is off?

What I did noticed today, the sound is only there when slowing down, and sounds more like a squeegee sound.

Hi ai checked all that, it sounds more like when there is something in your tires, etc.... Ire checked everything, and also I am not convinsed itnis the cv, it does not do this when turning at all.

I have since the last 2 days got a strange "clicking" noise that sound if it is coming from the front right side side of my LC. The noise is probably best described as a light click, almost a light ratcheting, sound that is only on the right side. I checked all the obvious things, stones in...

I got the new head gasket yesterday, I took the 5 notch one just for in case. It should not make a huge difference if I put he 5 notch gasket on. I will do the head in the week and report back what I found. I also got crack penetrating dye to use. I will check the head and each cylinder.

Ok, I drained the coolant, put only water in to make it easier to see if there is oil etc in. When I start the engine, it pushes slowly the water out. Every lets say minute there is a bubble.... What I think I will do, is take the head off next weekend, use some dye to see if there are any...
