    LJ70 Build Thread!

Ben , I have only ever heard bad things about trail gear, very noisy when fitted and have a habit of braking the r and p's in reverse under load, look up a company called nitro, they cost the same as trail gear but have far greater feed back. Hope this helps and good luck with the move, I would...

OK, barking maybe, but what about a manual petrol 80?

I stand corrected , I just would of thought it would be the other way round as that is the general rule of thumb ! Hats off to you for proving it! :icon-cool::clap:

    80 pickup

Its a shame that Toyota never made any to sell in the uk market, I really think they would of sold well, there are tones of pick up/ crew cabs on the road, If I was to do the conversion I would try and aim for something in between the pick up and crew cab :icon-cool:

in a perfect world so it was usefull and good off the tarmac , would be to make the last 1ft of the tray unbolt so it had no over hang and then when back home , bolt it back on and i got a usefull truck again!

    80 pickup

Yes it is a bit of a grey area , but I am thinking that if it's changed on the log book and it's insured as a pick up , then hopefully I shouldn't have any problems as I think I have done what I can, Thie slee off road one I like a lot and if I am honest , that's the one that makes me want to...

    Hardened shafts for the 80

Think I will end up with the standard stuff for a while and see how it goes . It seems I had just got old habits stuck in my head , when having land rovers it more of a case you have to up rate or it's breaks but been asking about and this does not seem the case with Toyota.
