Mines a 1992 80 series manual gearbox.
360,000 miles and still my daily drive, works for a living towing. Injectors and pump refurbed around 300.000 As was feeling a bit lethargic.
Cheers, Mark
She has been in a state of maintain and restoration since I have had it. The owner before me wouldn’t have cosseted her like I do, so I have had times where it seems I am always doing something to it. I’m not far from being mechanically tip top now, then it will be a tidy up on the bodywork. The...
Thanks guys,
I think the same Clive, using them keeps them going. Even when the mrs 120 is around and I want to pop to the shop I still jump in the 80. I keep looking at 100 series, but end up thinking nah I’m alright for now.
Cheers, Mark
Hi all,
This happened on the way to work this morning. Bit of a landmark I guess. Passenger took the picture.
Good old girl, my daily drive and tow truck. I reckon she is good for another 350.000
Cheers, Mark
Looking good Declan.
Some good work going on there, all looks good. Them new bfg’s do look good. I’ve just had some fitted to my lc120 and now want them on the 80. Trouble is they aren’t even half worn yet.
Cheers, Mark
Total recall last night, not the proper Arnie one. Not as good as Arnie but Kate Beckinsale made up for the little Irishman’s efforts.
I don’t think anyone can make an action film like old Arnie these days.

348000 and going good, just had injector pump and injectors overhauled, got her back up on her toes a bit. Still my daily driver and still earns her keep pulling cattle and such.
Cheers, Mark
My mate who has a body shop only asked for a grill, he reckons he can repair the bonnet. It’s how my luck runs at the moment, spend £600 on some new tyres and why not throw another few hundred at an unexpected bill. Still not as bad as the mrs keeping on about it.
Had these bad boys fitted on the wife’s car last week. Even got it washed for her on way into work.
Where one of my drivers proceeded to reverse an 18 toner into the front of it.
Happy days.....
Cheers, Mark
Fitted new rear shocks today as the old ones were leaking on one side, this is in prep for an mot. I went for the pedders ones to match the springs. Will see how they go.
Lovely looking tractor Bernese.
You must be well pleased with her.
We still fire up the major and the old 165 for hay making. To be honest when the newer tractors brake down, you can always rely on the older ones to get you out of trouble. Although the major loader does struggle with the silage...
So I managed to get the two pesky washers out in the end. I have only boxed the truck up this Saturday as have been busy with work and such. After trying all ways I know and had been recommended, I thought I was going to have to take the head down to our local engineering shop and have them...
Thanks guys,
I will try these ways and see if they come out. They are in there well. I have never had this much of a fight to get out before.
Cheers, Mark
Hi all,
I need some help in getting the injector washers out of the head. 2 of them fell out as I normally find they do on anything else I have ever worked on, but I have 4 stuck fast. I have tried all I can think of without causing possible damage to the seats. Has anyone else had this...
I am spending a bit on the ol girl. Currently have the radiator being repaired and the injector pump and injectors in for overhaul as the pump was starting to leak from nearly everywhere.
Got a nice box of bits from roughtrax to go on when all the parts come back.
I am getting the rad repaired...
Its the same even with our articulated fridge trailers. If you park one up for the weekend with nothing in it and the fridge turned off, if you don't leave a back door open it smells like something has died in it by Monday:dizzy:. As everyone has suggested try and leave the lid ajar.
Cheers, Mark
I have just done all four of mine last Saturday. Ended up with two of the milners ones with play in. ( I fitted all four milner ones a couple years ago also).
The roughtrax ones do seem a bit better in the hand, will see how long they last.
Cheers, Mark
