Jeez mate - that was a shock to read.
I’m very happy to see your last post was yesterday and still full of your trademark optimism and humour!
Once you beat this I hope to see you leading a convoy to Georgia and visiting us here at a little overlanding haven we are hoping to do here. It’s not...
Very simply for us ... as we have Australian passports as well.
Iran was a massive highlight for us. I would highly recommend visiting even with these restrictions!
Thanks for the concern mate ... I don’t make it on here as much as I should anymore.
As Clive said we are in an apartment in Bulgaria right now hiding from the cold for a bit and hoping this second European wave of corona eases soon.
I’m glad you found us
Easier said than done atm. I’m currently on a farm in Iran where solar panels aren’t so popular due to very low electric prices.
We never really planned on staying stationary for this long so it’s not normally a problem.
They are high on the list for when we get moving again though just in...
If it was that bad of times is put the gas heater underneath :)
we just try and avoid super cold weather camping now :)
The biggest problem now is battery consumption from the fridge during 43degree days.
We’ve had a -10 night so far but thankfully the inside of the trailer stayed just above zero. I have the batter located between the two 70l water tanks so when they are full it takes quite a bit of cold to drop them to feeezing point. Which then of course I have two problems!

I finally have this setup in a position where I’m happy with it. It’s taken a lot of work and experimentation to get charge rates I’m happy with.
The biggest change I’ve had tk make is using two victron 12 to 24v converters. Each of these is rated at 20amps on the 24v side. They are putting a...
This post just saved me many more hours searching for the cause. I had a dodgy connection extending the fusible link. Replaced it with a crimp connector and fired straight away.
Thanks!
Last night ... after our big day walking, we found a book store that served wine and cheese, a local craft beer bar and a great local restaurant. What a way to end a great week exploring with Sean & Tianna! Cha cha time!!!!
Fast forwarding this timeline a bit to two days ago ... planning on replacing the whole thing as soon as possible. I think this is now going to be in Pakistan though. Assuming our visas are approved one day.
Had some more fun yesterday! We had a strange vibration for a few days and couldn’t...
You can buy both EFS and Iron man pro from mp4x4 in Poland. I've placed three orders with them now and their service has always been great. They have shipped orders to UK, Slovenia and Romania for me always within a week at reasonable costs.
EFS...
Tbilisi walking tour - always a great way to be introduced to a place, we spent the morning exploring Tbilisi and learning more about its history, often accompanied by one of the local stray dogs
