I am looking at buying a 200 series, a few years old, around 80,000-100,000km. I've owned Prados and Hiluxes. All my Toyotas have been generally very reliable and apart from early injector failure in one vehicle and the ongoing DPF issues, we've really had no problems at all.

I appreciate that there's a lot of variability, but interested to know people's experiences generally with the 200 series as the kilometres start to rack up. Is 100,000km as 'young' as popular opinion makes out?

Thanks in advance. Appreciate any feedback.

I've got a 2008 VX with 396,000 km that drives like new and everything still works and jerks as they should. Gives great fuel economy and is extremely comfortable, so go for it. If you can afford a low km vehicle all the better but if I was looking, I'd buy a pre-DPF one.
