4WD Newbie Question (KZJ70)

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year!
I'm new to Landcruiser 4wds and have just purchased a KZJ70 (1995) which has lockable freewheel front hubs and lever+button front drive controls (no lockable diff). What is the correct sequence of engaging the various 4wd types?

You can use the button or the lever to engage 4H, 4L is only from the lever.

I always left my hubs locked all the time. If I was road driving on ice/snow I’d use the button to ‘shift on the fly’ in and out of 4H as road conditions changed, if I was off-road I used the lever so I could switch between H and L
