I just imported (to the USA) a 1991 LJ78 Prado and now that the snow has hit can't make the 4WD work. I get no response from the hub lock or 4H buttons on the dash. I read that the electric hubs on these are unreliable, so I followed directions on Youtube and put them in permanent lock. I can shift into 4L with no problem, but I don't get any action out of my front wheels. I have tried just about every combination of button/lever I can find and don't get any results. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Brian

Check the vacuum hoses and solenoid mounted on the firewall. You should here them click when you press the 4wd button.

If they are clicking, follow the 2 hoses down to the actuator on the front of the transfer case next to the front prop/drive shaft and make sure they aren't damaged and are stil attached. :icon-wink:
