Thanks for the Heads up. I have a good idea of what would entail.. but the ones on ebay for 6 grand are not worth 6 grand IMO.. and even they could become a project

I was tempted by one similar Higgy but then decided when its 20+ years old and you want to drive it daily its better to buy the best you can afford or you will end up paying for the better truck anyway .

That thing reminds me of those Danish tax dodge ‘camper’ conversions you see where they’ve mounted a 5l sink and a £10 butane cooker in the back of a Disco 4 or a 150 but there’s a curious absence of a ... bed.

In fairness it’s low miles for the money and the MoT history is not bad, but, as Andy said, it’s been parked up for a reason.

Ditch the bodykit and spoiler and it could be quite a smart little picnic wagon.

I'm close to this one..............................

Believe it or not that's close to me only 120 miles. Everything is oop north. It stacks up but sounds like hes owning up to its rust problems.. Good low miles tho

All being well should be there at 3.00. Will report but don't expect too much, it was stood up for a reason.
Thanks Andy.. Yes it was stood up for a reason.. Engine related im thinking..If I got it for the price its at now. I wouldn't complain.. I decided to keep the 120 and just get my self a project... Then out of the Blue the phone lights up with interest in the 120... If the 120 sells and with the cash iv got in my pocket il have about 8 grand Most 80s are around 6 grand on ebay... and IMO not worth 6grand.. It seems 6grand still buys you problems and rust.... IMO.

IMO, This is the only Land Cruiser on ebay thats about right. forget the mileage and the fact its not a 5 speed and I think you got a well loved and looked after genuine Amazon....Give a reason not to buy it... Apart from the mileage and not a 5 speed.... although he says it is..

Well you'll know the ups and downs of the red one later. The 97 green Amazon will be up for sale when I've finished it. It will be without fault with everything working and its a late model with all the best stuff on it. That said it will be £8.5K minimum and that reflects the ammount of time and effort I've put in.

Something you don’t see very often: an LC Active Vacation. You’ll be able to pull over for a cup of tea and a spot of lunch, Higgy.

I had exactly the same thought about making it UK spec with a few S/H parts but you've still got an "older" Amazon. Nowhere does it say what transmission it is and if it was a manual it wouldn't be desirable.

The only other "Vacation" model I recollect seeing was the 80 series Warren bought from Bristol which I think Byron has now.

Halifax/Bradford seems to be Cruiser City. Heading there tomorrow as it happens.[/QUOTE]

Yes its true, they do seem to have all the contacts there, a surprising ammount come through the trade as P/X's they underwrite.

Thanks Andy.. Can you pick his brain, see if the original wheels might be about.. Cheers

I think the White vacation one Might be Auto ..Looking at MOT History... Fails with rear brake cables. seems like hand brake lack of use.. Typical Auto
