This wonderful slideshow of three lads crossing the Sahara in 1959 is the best thing I’ve seen on YouTube this week. Simpler times.

This was posted up a while ago now on the forum, And yes its fantastic... I can watch this sort of thing all day Over ASPW or Ronny Dahl .. No disrespect to either of them but i have a low attention span.. and find my self getting bored with both of 'em'...... Nice to see it again Jacob

I've been enjoying his Arctic expeditions aboard nuclear-powered icebreakers and only last night realised it's the same chap.

Just watched it, Very interesting.... Mad fuel consumption figures,, 300 grams or (4 squares of chocolate size) Uranium.. Or if it was a diesel 52,000 Gallons, 160tons A DAY!!!.........Sounds like a good idea that Nuclear fuel... It can run non stop for four years without ever having to fuel up.... Could do with one of them in the 80

Also vastly improves power output. Seems like a good idea. What could possibly go wrong?
