I can't get Kumho's, so another option would be BFG's. I would be fitting them to a KZJ70.

Any info, especially noise issues, gratefully accepted.

Roger

KM2s, which you're most likely getting, had no more issues with noise than ATs on my HJ60. That's motorway, city streets, country roads and in snow, mud, sand and rain. They are really excellent tyres.

Update on the KM2's.

Road noise about on par with my old Yokohama Geolander M/T+.

Slight increase in harshness on road, no doubt due to heavier construction.

Greater dia. means overgearing and necessitates greater use of gearbox.

Grip and stability on wet or dry roads is better than expected and there was no lose of traction, even under exuhuberant cornering on very wet Welsh mountain roads.

Ditto braking.

Grip on rocky or dirt tracks exceptional. Climbed out of deep ruts with ease. No sign of slippage in mud or marshy ground. They just grip.

Fuel consumption went from 25.5 to 28mpg. This is very odd, so I will be checking again.
