Hi all,

Sorry if this information is available elsewhere on the forum, but can anybody tell me the torque setting for the 6 bolts on the flywheel of my B engine? I found a reference to 130 ft lbs, but that seems very high, and I don't want to shear the bolts. If anyone could confirm I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Sorry I haven't found the ft lbs for a B series but 130 sounds far too high - on the F series it is 47 ft lbs and on a 2H it is 87ft lbs.

I will keep looking and let you know if and when I find it.

Regards,

Rodger

Thanks Rodger. I've gone to 100 ft lbs, and don't want to go any further. If the '2H' is 87 then I should be well covered with my smaller 'B' engine.

Apparently the setting is 130 ft lbs according to the Toyota manual but I've only got that from a search on I8mud forum and several on there have taken them to 130 but 100 sounds safe. Did you Locktite them?

I didn't loctite them, but that seems sensible given the uncertainty. I'll back them off and re-do. Thanks for your help; I really appreciate it.
