So with having the long weekend I had a bit of time to do some work to the 105, I was going to do the build based on a petrol 80 but luckily I stumbled across this 1999 1FZ-FE 105, so the plan is(for now) fix the engine as it had a bad bottom end, turbo conversion, 2" lift, standard front bumper, 285 AT's and update it to look like a 2004, while the engine was out it gave me time to clean up the chassis and treat it with Buzzweld, I also started making the mounting brackets for the intercooler

Looks tidy there Tommy. That's some beast of a turbo you've got on there!! That's almost dune climbing territory!!

Holset HX50 with a 25cm turbine housing, it should be on top of the job. The standard engine management will only allow 12psi of boost, I am going to see how it goes, if it works out ok I might look at aftermarket management, if it all goes wrong il put a 1HD-T or a 1HD-FTE in it

Following here and on FB, looking forward to the kit for '94 80 series.
Where did the manifold come from??

Engine is 90% built up at last, need to wire in the new coil packs, new spark plugs and wait on the new turbo to arrive then start making the exhaust, 4" down pipe going to 3"

The manifold came off my brother 80, it possibly came from America, are you looking to turbo your 80?

Not a lot of preogress but some, turbo is all bolted up, intake is on, intercooler pipe work is coming along, oils feed in 90% done just waiting on a fitting, oil drain is done, had the bumper, girl and spoiler painted, fitted some new fog lights, that's it for now. Just done a parts order few more bits of silicone what not, looks like the exhaust is going to be interesting to make, it will be a 4" dump pipe in to a 3" system with a decent size box.

That's pornographic

Would love to do a turbo/super charger conversion but I kinda like being married

I sometimes wish I had just covered it to an FTE but I am sure it will be good when it's done, the FTE conversion can come in the future.

Well it’s up and running of a fashion, just having some fuel and boost cut issues, once a friend of mine had made a couple of circuits up to fool the ecu we will be away. Looks like I might have to go smaller on the turbine housing, currently a 25cm possibly a 22cm housing will do the job, worst case I will have to find a 19cm housing.

So it turned out the original turbo was slightly to big, I’ve now got a slightly smaller turbo fitted up, it’s off to have the downpioe and exhaust made on Wednesday.

I also received the new wheels I have been awaiting, they are 17x9 aluminium beadlocks, with a set o 285-70-17 Auttro AT tyres

All being well it will be on the road for next weekend.

Fuel and boost cut issues have now been sorted with some clever wiring done by a freind.

Amazing

Please report once it's done with how it drives please.

Sorry can’t help you on the manifold, it’s one my brother purchased some time ago, I will see if he can help out.

It went well, drove well did everything it needed to do, but it has been replaced by a Y60 Patrol.
