Center differential replacement

Hi guys.

I should have your thoughts on repairing my 120. The control panel is lit up with "VSC TRC" and "VSC OFF" and the center differential lever cannot be switched to a lower gear. Has been that way for a long time now. Center differential lock button, when pressed does nothing.

My repair guy (http://auto-stocko.hr/ - seems to me a legit and trustworthy guy) is saying that reducer (the center differential) have to be replaced with overhauled one, because some shaft is worn out and cannot be replaced itself. Price for this center differential he says is 1700 GBP, or 1900 €. That is only for the part; work is extra.

Thing is, besides that, shock absorbers, breaking discs and pads and fuel injectors will have to be replaced too. This starts to look quite pricy to me…

What is your opinion? Any advice?

Here is an outcome to this issue…

After two months of tinkering and fiddling on my central reducer, my repair guy managed to fix it! (Since I was a cheapskate, not throwing 1.900 € for a replacing one). He rebuilt it, with new computer and some new levers, and now it works!
