Hello. I am restoring a 1984 hj47. The push-pull knobs for the dash have worn out, all the paint has come off them plus I dont really like the look of the OEM ones. I've found custom knobs online that I like but they dont have the symbols on them, eg the hazard symbol or fan symbol. Is there anyway I can get the symbols put on the blank knobs? thanks, will check thread after work. Picture is not my dash, just an example

Hi,

IMO attaching transfers to the plain knob will just mean in time the transfers will unstick, at least, just on the edges and then become unsightly.
We retained the original knobs and touched in the indications with modellers' enamel paint.
Of course not liking the originals and/or they have worn out in the switch mechanism then you have just the choice between aftermarket or originals....
Unfortunately most glues will show eventually, so maybe transfers is the way for you.

Regards,

Rodger
