Could someone with a 120 tell me how the rotational play of my front and rear prop shafts compare to their known good ones, please?
I cleaned them up just now ready to grease, made the videos before greasing.
I'm trying to diagnose a drivetrain clunk when driving, come off power all good, get back on power and there is a clunk, everytime in every gear.
Also, from standstill or stationary, when reversing, releasing the clutch pedal up but not fully up there is a clunk. This clunk keeps happening as I reverse and keep lifting the clutch up, will do it from stationary moving forward too in 1st but to the same extent. I don't notice it too much going forward but reversing it is very obvious, sound like under the centre or towards the rear of the cruiser.
I have searched / read of drivetrain clunk being normal, but this is very annoying and I doubt it was like this when new. Nearly 300k miles on it so I'm sure something is worn, just trying to pin it down. Rear diff was rebuilt recently as it was noisy and had a lot of up/down play on the outward flange, this seems ok now. Could it be my Front diff or Transfer box / chain?
Rear Prop Shaft rotational play
Front Prop Shaft Rotational play
Front Inner Cv Joint Rotational play
