I'm glad I got mine it does work and keeping the drinks and chocolate cold works for me, I do have a stand alone battery in the boot to keep it running when the truck is parked. I just put a charger on at night, but it could be wired to a split charger if you wish. just buy one and start enjoying it don't worry so much about the money.

well it went down by a £5 yesterday and agree i can't see the point of these prices going up and down every day or so

Yes, this works for many things.any factors including price currency (not all that Amazon sells is sold from UK, regardless of where stock is kept ). Another dimension is popularity of things (who has what for how long in their baskets etc ). And many other factors, like who is selling (Amazon marketplace... ) and who is fulfilling from where.

Has anyone installed one of these in their centre console on an 80? What did you do with the gap that the original console leaves in the gear shift plastic surround?
